Awhile back I heard Tony Harris ( awesome artist for Starman) left the title due to bad feelings with James Robinson. Is that true ? Because its pretty sad if he did since his art was so good in this.

I've not heard that, which means nothing. I do recall, at the time of Archie Goodwin's passing, something to the affect that Goodwin had encouraged him to make a change, which resulted him him leaving the book. If that's correct, there's no reason the two couldn't be connected.

Didn't he leave the series 'cause he had some new projects or something?

1) Tony Harris continued to contribute covers to the series all the way to the end;
2) In his final letter column, James Robinson said he and Tony Harris were still discussing future projects together, including a story about Jack Knight in the Orient;
3) James Robinson and Tony Harris worked together as recently as 2003 (on a Ted Knight story for JSA ALL-STARS #4).
In his final issue as an interior artist, Harris wrote a letter column farewell in which he said he was leaving the series because he was having trouble keeping up with a monthly schedule since he was such a perfectionist. And you know what? I believe him, considering how many fill-in artists the book needed and that it took Harris ten years before he accepted another ongoing monthly gig.
We also shouldn't forget about how much of an impact Archie Goodwin's death had on the creative team. James Robinson has said he almost quit the book after that, and Harris' departure was just a few months later.

Thats good to hear. It was awhile back and someone mentioned the tattoos or something silly about Jack Knight.

Not quite true. Andrew Robinson took over cover duty sometime after Harris left the book.

Tony did return to do the cover of the series' final issue (along with Robinson, who I'm guessing painted over Tony's pencils?) though...
