:: point to tagline:: See? It is gone. Though we need a new one.
I've come asking for ideas and advice... A few issues I've noticed brought up
Tagline-- Okay, taken care of
Form letter-- I'm.. not sure how to handle this. In truth, I would -vastly- prefer people -handwrite- individual letters (as I have myself, third draft so far :D despite having not handwritten something to someone other than a family member since Jim Davis in the third grade..)
And people tend to be rather lazy, or if not lazy, often unable to come up with words themselves, so never get around to it. So, I think it's important to provide people an option, an opportunity to either print something premade out, or modify it for themselves.. But I'll restructure the presentation to be more, in line, with tactful approaches.
With that said, I'm looking for advice, ideas, and possibly, a Php writer. I'd like this to be the only savecass thread in the forum (well.. starting now, anyways), if at all possible... And I'd greatly appreciate anything, anyone, has to constructively add.
Thanks,
Keith
Redesigns forthcoming..
Oh. Adding on the subject of redesigns, really, really if anyone can handle php, or even html, please, talk to me, even AIM me at Regajk2... I have literally no graphic design ability. That's my friend's work using predesigned templates. Heh.
Hopefully someone will help you with designing a webpage. I'm rubbish at it. You might want to look at http://glheat.tripod.com/ for ideas of what to put on the page.
Those Hal fans had some good ideas, but they were kinda screwed by the fact that bringing back Hal would have gotten rid of a lot of things that were making Green Lantern sell with Kyle in it. I don't think Cass is in the same boat.
And you need a new slogan, yeah. How about "Because OYL shouldn't mean everything you loved was wrong"?

That will be the slogan till we've finalized on something better (if such comes along!)
Also.. ::gaze signature, work on fixing::

I like that.
May I suggest Geeklog (http://www.geeklog.net). It's user-friendly and easy to manipulate. If your server has Fantastico, more than likely you can install automatically. Geeklog has many, many plug-in options... some more user-friendly than others... but the instructions are usually pretty clear on how to get them working.
There are lots of layouts available for it and if you talk real nice, I might throw together a Cass layout for you. I beat Geeklog into submission pretty regularly, have a look:

Have you guys tried contacting any of her writers or her creator for their reactions?
For that matter it would be nice to get a female pro's reaction on sequentialtart, girlwonder, or the like. I mean, it kinda feels like all the women in the Bat Family have been removed (except for a lipstick lesbian who I fear has been added with male readers in mind). That does seem to scream that the Batcave is again a "No Girls Allowed" club.
I'm depressed by a rumor floating around. Cassandra's decision to turn evil was because she found out she had a sister (why this is different from finding out she had several siblings a few months ago, I don't know), not Spoiler's death or Bludhaven blowing up. If the rumor is true, the guy that wrote the Robin issues said he wanted to play up the "Cain and Abel" side of things, which is why he made Cassandra Cain kill her sister Annalea out of jealousy. As terrible as this story is, if it was done to tie in with the Bible that would make it even worse.

Most of us aren't comic pros at sequentialtart, just readers like the rest of us. But we're putting together the Tartie Awards for next month and Cass' treatment and those of other woman in the Bat family have not gone unnoticed. And it wasn't just me, either.

I would have been surprised to hear 'tart wouldn't have a reaction, I was just wondering if they might mention savecass.com .
Do the Tartie awards have an equivalent of the Razzie ( http://www.razzies.com/default.asp )?
More Saving Cass advice:
1) There are people that really hate what's been done with Cass, but have picked up the comics with her in them (and will pick up more in future) just to see what happens. You might want to do detailed summaries on your site. That way people aren't basically voting in favor of a story they hate, just because they want to see if it's been fixed.
2) Do you have any people with old Green Lantern issues and a scanner? It might be funny to scan in and photoshop some of the old Emerald Twillight scenes so that Hal uses Cassandra's motivations.
Hal: "I just found out you gave a Green Lantern ring to another human! So now I've gone crazy!"
Anyone else: "You mean this isn't about Coast City being destroyed? And you already knew other humans had rings! You even met them!"
