The Leader causes sea animals to grow gigantic and captures Hulk and Spiderman. Abomination and Hulk duke it out and the Avengers show up for back up. The writer and artist do another smash up job. Some complaints are they have kind of neutered Wolverine by saying he cant slice living things. Kind of hard to see him staying in this book with that handicap. Thought the overall story ended with a good message. Also there was a very funny scene when Spiderman and Hulk first get captured. I thought the first issue was better, but I still think it reads better then the New Avengers.

Issue 2 was great! I actually just decided to pick that issue up and number 1 because I've read some stellar reviews for these Marvel Adventures titles. They did not dissapoint. I hope more readers check these books out because they really ARE good! You get a complete, action-packed story in one comic. How often does that happen anymore? They're well paced and each character maintains they're own, unique voice. I'd go as far to say that the Marvel Adventures books are better than many of the mainstream titles.
MA Avengers blows New Avengers outta the water: it's got fun stories and nice, consistent artwork. I think I'll keep checking them out. I may look into some of the FF digests while I'm at it. :D

Man, what a great book. Artwork reminds me a lot of Hitch, and the writing was hilarious. This is truly an "All-Star" book with all of Marvel's heavy hitters on one team-- 20 issues of Bendis aren't even close to being as exciting as 2 issues of Marvel Adventures Avengers!
I didn't mind Wolverine's lack of claws-- We got to see him use some strategy instead! Nice to see the character used in a different way than we are used to.
Overall, a solid, action packed issue that had me laughing out loud.

I have to agree that Marvel Adventures Avengers is a fun book. Its a different book with a different tone and audience than the New Avengers but taking that into consideration, I'd still say the Marvel Adventures book was better this month.
Giant marine life always equals fun. I guess we are guaranteed a titanic threat each issue to keep Giant Girl busy. Works for me.
The Leader and the Abomination are two of my favorite villains. I hope they return to this book often.
The relationship between Peter and the Hulk is fun as is the rivalry between Cap and Wolverine. Plus Spiderman isn't wearing that awful Iron Spidey suit. That is always a plus.
I'm buying these Marvel Adventure books for my nephew who is not quite old enough to read them yet, but that's just an excuse. I am enjoying them myself.
The only marvel book i enjoy more are Cable deadpool (my #1 book) and Young avengers.

It's full of some swinging action and great quips; I loved it.
