Who do you think will take over the book now that Howard Chaykin is drawing the new Blade ongoing over at Marvel?

Well, I'm sad to see he's leaving Hawkgirl. Maybe Simonson will take over, or maybe he can talk an old studio-mate, James Sherman into drawing for awhile!. I'd love to see Travis Charest, but I'd love to see him draw a few issues of everything!

I really hope that Simonson takes over on art chores now that he's done on Elric. He's my favorite all-time artist, and while Hawkgirl doesn't really scream Simonson art-wise as much as it Chaykin, I know it would be fantastic.
Chaykin on Blade is an inspired pick as well, in my opinion.
Chaykin's leaving Hawkgirl? Oh, I guess I figured he was so far ahead on Hawkgirl he could do both. Huh. Oh well.

CBR: OK, let's finish up here. You've leaving "Hawkgirl" to move to "Blade." Why?
Chaykin: Why not? It's just the right time. Nothing more than that.

Maybe he got tired of the character. Took 1 issue of this series and Kendra to make me drop it. Is there any way we can get DC to bring back Gray and Palmotti to do this book ?

Chaykin's gone already? I thought this was a dream project for him. He certainly seemed excited to be working with Simonson in the interviews I read. Any idea which issue will be his last one?
The perfect replacement for Chaykin is already writing the book. I'd love to see Simonson take over as artist.
As for Blade, I really couldn't care less about the character. I'm a Chaykin fan, and will check out most books he illustrates, but I couldn't be less interested in his new project.
