Been in contact with Lulu. THere's a correct version out. The bad news is you have to ship the old one out at your own expense. Good news is they send you the correct version for free. Sorry about all this hassle.
We have generated a support ticket to help us track your inquiry. Your ticket code is LTK6306271384X. Please use this code in any further communication.
Please use this email to respond in the future. Joe, I looked at that ticket number. Due to privacy issues, we can't give out the information of who ordered your books previously. And since this was an error with the source file you uploaded and not a print error, we can't ship out replacement copies to your buyers. If you do know the people who purchased your book and get can in touch with them, then I can help you. If you have them mail the book back to us at their expense, I will ship them the new version of your book at our expense. The address for your buyers to ship the book to us is:
Mo Tinani
Lulu Inc.
860 Aviation Parkway
Morrisville NC 27560
How can you tell if a copy is not correct?

If you can read it, it's correct. The incorrect versions were misprinted and the words were mostly off the page.

Considering it was their screw-up in the first place, that is pretty pathetic customer service.

I am not happy but they're not budging. Doubt I'll ever use them again.

Just kidding. I wish that I had more disposable income to buy your book Joe. I'll look for it in my library in the coming months though.

Shit, I wish I'd seen this thread before. The last I heard from them on the issue, they promised they'd send a new one, and all I had to do was e-mail a photo or a scan. Apparently this Mo cocksucker won't honour that promise, or can't be bothered scrolling down far enough in the e-mail I sent to read it.

I wonder if Mo would still give me a new copy if I sent him a box of ashes?
Um, no offense intended to the lovely and talented Mr. Joseph Rice.

Joe,
Sorry for the trouble you've been having with Lulu. I've heard similar stories from some people who have printed with them. But I've also heard some people have had good experiences with them as well.
Did you upload your file as a Word doc or as a PDF? The PDF would be better since they have to convert your file to PDF if it is a Word Doc. And if you do the converting to PDF yourself, you have more control and what you see is usually what you get.
I always convert my books to PDF myself and do a test print before I send it to my printer. Although they do ask for the test print and send me a proof before the final printing.

You ever gonna get your book?I just mailed the defective copy back yesterday (airmail). If our good buddy Mo isn't a complete scumbag, and if Canadian Customs takes as long to clear it as they did last time, I should have a good copy in a month or so.

(All this could've been avoided if I'd just waited a few days to order, of course...)
