In the same light as Rag's Ten Commandments thread. I thought I'd ask how many of Jesus' deciples people can name...and while we're at it...as a contrast...how many of the Seven Dwarves you can name from the Disney version of Snow White, and how many of Santa's reindeer you can name.

Okay, you got 3 right...4 if you count Paul, as he was considered the 13th Apostle. the Others you got right were John, Thomas and Judas. Mark and Luke wrote Gospals but they were neither deciples or apostles. And I seriously doubt there was a George in the bible. I'm suprised you didn't suggest Ringo was a disciple

I've heard that Angela, Tiny, Stumpy and Fiery Death From Above have been known to party pretty hard on the continent now and again.

This one's harder, but I'll give it a try.
1: Simon Perter
2: James
3: John
4: Judas Iscariot
5: Judas (Not Iscariot)
6: Andrew
7: Thomas
(that's all I can be sure of)
8: Bart (cant spell the full name) (part of the son's of thunder and I cant get the other 2
9: (I think there's another) Simon "the lesser"
10: Mark (guessing just because it's a gospel)
11: Luke (guessing just because it's a gospel)
12: Stephen (not sure one of the 12 but gets martyred with Saul/Paul watching)
(I thought there was a Nathaniel in there too but not sure)
Matt came later (to replace Judas Iscariot) as well as Paul
1 Sneezy, 2 Grumpy, 3 Doc, 4 Bashful, 5 Dopey, 6 Happy?, 7. Joyful?
Edit: bad with names only got 8... and one I was sure of was wrong.

Okay, I think I can do this:
Matthew, Peter, Simon, James, a different James, Thomas, Judas, Mark, Luke, I'm pretty sure there was at least one John in there, Rufus, and Red.

From what I remember of catechism and the comic-book "the 13th disciple, here are the ones I remember:
Simon, also known as Peter
John, Jesus' favorite disciple
James, brother of John
James (a different one)
Bartholomew? Wasn't there a Bartholomew in the lot?
Judas, of course
Matthew
Thomas, every scientist's favorite one
...
I'm blanking out.
But the thirteenth one was Matthias.

Jesus: Peter, Thomas, Judas, John, James, James the Lesser, Matthew, Simon, Bartholomew ... and Biff.
Snow White: Doc, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy ...
Duff: Tipsy, Dizzy, Sleazy, Edgy, Surly, Queasy, and Remorseful.
Santa: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph.
Man, that's sad.

I can't remember many of the disciples. Again I'm not (and never was) a christian.
The ones I remember are:
John
Peter
Judas
Luke
Matthew
Seven Dwarves:
Sneezy
Grumpy
Dopey
Happy
(don't know the rest)
Reindeer
dasher
dancer
donner
blitzen
comet
prancer
rudolph
cupid
(forget the last one)
The Rudolph song helps out with the reindeer names. If there was a catchy children's song about the 12 apostles, I'm sure I'd remember more of them as well. :)

Ok I'm Jewish but I know I can name at least 4 Disciples:
Matthew
Mark
Luke
John
Sever Dwarves are easy:
Happy
Sneezy
Sleepy
Grumpy
Doc
Dopey
Bashful
Once again I am Jewish but I am pretty sure I know all the Reindeers:
Dasher
Dancer
Prancer
Vixen
Comet
Cupid
Rudolph

Mathew
James
John
Judas
Judas(there were two of them, so really its 13 not 12)
Peter
That's six, pretty good. And no mentioning Mark and Luke which is one of my little pet peeves. See in Sunday School we sang a song listing the 12 and since my name is Mark I would have remembered that Mark was in there. the other Judas was also called Thadeus
Reindeer
Dasher
Dancer
Prancer
Vixen
Comet
Cupid
Donner

I should have asked for Spoiler tags like Rags did. I'll be leniant(sp?) and say you got 3 right on the deciples I'll accept Jimmy as James, Jim as the other James and Jack is frequently a nickname for John
Two right on the Dwarfs, I don't think I need to say which ones. and I'll give you all eight right for the Reindeer as the Fiery Death From Above is a clever play on words.

Actually I count 9 right Thaddaeus was also known as Judas so I'm accpeting any answer of two Judases (Judai?) as correct. I'm also accepting Simon the Lesser as Simon The Canaanite (who is also called Simon the Zealot) and I'll accept Bart as Bartholomew. Heck I'll throw in two bonus points for Matthias (I'm accepting Matt as acceptable for him, though I'm pretty sure you were confusing Matthias and Matthew) and Paul
6 out of 7 on the Dwarfs The missing one is Sleepy, not Joyful. hehe

There was a catchy song about the deciples that I learned in Sunday School, which is why, when I was talking to Rags about this before I posted, I got 11 out of the 12 right without looking it up. but as for your score, that's 4 on the deciples, four on the dwarfs and 8 of the Reindeer the Reindeer you forgot was Vixen

Actually you only knew two of the deciples. Since alot of people have made that mistake and I've pointed it out before I won't mention the two you were wrong about. All Seven Dwarfs that's good. I think you may be the first one to get all right. and that's 7 out of 9 reindeer you forgot Donder(I'm accepting Donner as a comon mispelling of Donder by the way) and Blitzen (or Firey Death From Above if you prefer)

That's five right on the deciples but I'll give you six because...Paul was a later Appostle who met the resurected Jesus on the road to demascus. He wasn't one of the original 12 though. and Mark, as I've said before, wasn't a deciple or appostle. he just wrote one of the gospels.
And that's 7 right on the Dwarves and 9 right on the Reindeer. As for the 13 Dwarves from the Hobbit...I can't name all thirteen, but I'd be willing to bet that my wife could...the only ones I can name are Glowin, Thorin, Bombur...heck that's all and I'm not sure if they're correct. I know I've named more than that at one point, but that's all I can remember right now

You got 7 right but I'll give you 8.
As with other people I'll give you a point for paul because he was a later appostle. Luke was not a disciple or appostle. I'll give you Earth-2 Judas in place of Thaddeus since he was also called Judas and it made me laugh. Saul was Paul's original name, he changed it to Paul after he met Jesus on the road to Demascus if I remember correctly

I don't know them all.
Let's see.
Mathew, Mark, Luke, John (They wrote Gospels, right?)
Peter (couldn't walk on water and denied Christ until the cock crowed)
James (That's the girly looking disciple, right?)
Thomas (That's the doubting disciple. You have to admire his skepticism.)
