Just to see what would come up.

Apparently, some web site scraped the articles I wrote for CBR around E3 for their metatext.

I can't link to them directly. However, here is the google search. It is the fifth and sixth entry down. I warn you, not work safe, not anything safe. And it's associated with my name. Fun!

Let me put it this way, this is their headline in Google: E3: FIGHT WITH STEEL IN "AGE OF CONAN 3d raped britney spears "by Jeremy Goldstone, 3d raunchy comic Guest Contributor

Now, none of that appears on the web page. But the whole point was I didn't take the Hustler job.

3d raunchy comic Guest Contributor Okay, that's fuckin' funny.

I'd be clearer, but it would involve posting material or links that weren't work safe. If you want to see what had me slightly flustered, click on the link to google, follow the links down till you get to it.

So your name happens to bring up BDSM art links as well....interesting. Google is messed up. LOL. It is cool that it brings up your articles for CBR though.

Like Howy said, it's a little more fucked up than BDSM.

Like Howy said, it's a little more fucked up than BDSM.Yeah, the comic about the chick getting raped with a hook didn't look like much fun.

I think you should change your name and write all future articles for CBR under the name "Rainbow Bunny"....

See, no more disturbing BDSM comic links when you type that into Google:

I googled my name only to find out I was dead (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1397112.stm).

Rather put a downer on my day that did.

EDIT:

I should probably say I actually knew all about this, as I work for Network Rail, the company that runs Britains railways.

I've got a good mate who I hadn't seen for about six months at the time of this accident, and he knew that I worked for the railways, but didn't know exactly what I did.

He phoned my parents up in a panic once he heard my name on the news, just checking that it wasn't me.

Spooky.

My first/last name combination is pretty rare (I'm the only person with my name listed on google), so I avoid posting under my real name when using message boards or running a website. What I do online really isn't anyone's business. My hobbies and my career are seperate aspects of my life, and I like keeping them that way.

Posting online with your real name leads to situations like Jeremy's (though any repectable writer signs his work, so I guess you couldn't use a sceen name in those cases).
