Has anyone actually used this thing? I have the cheaper version and haven't used it yet. I'm just curious what others here have done with it.
Also, has anyone here had a succesful experience with a talking board of any kind not specifically this one?

I am fascinated by the oui-ya boards but I don't own one and I don't think I
would use it if I had one: sometimes it's better do not open certain doors ;)

I have four Parker Bros. ouija boards that I use on the dinner table as placemats, does that count? They're finished with a coat of polyurethane so the spaghetti sauce stains won't soak in. On the whole, they have been a successful experience.

My family had one when I was a kid. We played with it every Halloween. Here's what you hear during a typical Ouija board session:
"You're moving it!"
"No I'm not!!"
"Dude, you're moving it!"
Over and over, like that. :)

I used it last night. I asked 3 questions, the first two were yes or no questions and the board answered them but spelled the words backwards. The last one was a bit more complex but all I got for an answer was "T5" so I dunno...then it said goodbye. I set up some candles around me to really get the mood going :) I even flipped through The Devil's Footprints before I started to get the right mind set. When I lit the candles and was about to start I felt a cold draft but all the windows and the door were closed. All in all...a strange experience.

I think I've used a talking board maybe once with unmemorable results (see Rick's "You're moving it!" exchange). More often we had seances where people had their hands on a cup or other object and the spirits were just supposed to move it to show their presence. This worked about as well as the talking board.
The only time it sort of "worked" was when we were visiting friends at their new acreage out in the country and we were having a seance. Myself and Chris, the other eldest kid, were just aiming scare our little siblings, so we summoned the spirit of this guy we just made up.
"We call on the spirit of James...um... MacIntyre... who... er... once homesteaded here, and then this house was built upon his grrrrave... Give us a sign of your presence, O John-er-James MacIntyrrrre!!"
Chris and I started nudging the seance ball around in the electrified silence then:
"MMMERRRAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOO-AH!!!"
All of us collectively crapped our pants and ran out of the room screaming.
Later we learned that the house was just a few feet away from the neighboring cow pasture.
Stupid paranormal cows.

My friends had a pig years ago that we all played with until he got too big and fat, then he was put down and eaten. Now everytime i order a bacon and egg mcmuffin, I hear the wind cry mary...does that count?
Chuckie Livingston and I asked it how to get super powers and it told us we had to kill our friend Kent Smith.
Note: I do not have any superpowers.
Yet.

Yet.Well, it hasn't even been 24 hours. Maybe the body has to be cold and then you--
I've said too much.

Kent Smith was talking to me in a dream. He was just going ON and ON about the Civil War. Or maybe it was Ken Burns and I just fell asleep watching PBS...
