I recently bought the "What the Toll Tells" album by this band. Has anyone else heard it yet?
I have to say that I like the album quite a bit. It's sort of a fusion of blues, folk rock and punk rock (among other things). Like the Decemberists, a lot of the songs are set in the past. However, instead of a Victorian England setting, the Two Gallants sing about Early-twentieth century Americana.
As for the tracks, I particularily like "Los Cruces Jail", "Steady Rollin'" and "Long Summer Day"
