Macca has finally reached the milestone day he sang about so long ago on SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND.

Despite recent marital problems, he's lucky. Two of his Beatle buddies didn't make it to 64, not to mention half of his 1960s musical peers.

Thanks for the music so far, Macca. Hopefully, there's still a classic or two left in you.

I felt his album from last year was one of his best ever. And one of his most adult.

Paul actually wrote When I'm Sixty-Four in the late 1950s, as a teenager. How many teens could write a song like that? About that subject matter?

My newspaper says his 64th birthday is tomorrow, actually. His fan site (http://macca.devstars.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=52264&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=90) agrees.

"When I'm 64" is my favorite McCartney song. So, I guess, he could've stopped writing songs after age seventeen and I'd still be happy.
