I was so pissed at Nickelodeon in February when they stopped showing one of my all-time favorite shows of theirs, MY LIFE AS A TEEN-AGE ROBOT. That show was a great show with some of the best stories ever written for the channel's line-up, period! The animation was fresh & unique, & the acting was great!
I think the series deserves to be revived [Action League Now! & Ahh! Real Monsters are two other such shows!)

They just need special epi where Jenny discovers the truth about the Silver Shell, forcing Sheldon to get out and be a hero on his own merits.

How about we can start an online petition to convince Nickelodeon to revive this truly-great show!

Are there any more fans of this great show?

Well, if there are only three fans of this show according to the thread, XJ9 & the show may very well be in very deep trouble!
J.A.P.
I'm still a fan of the show. Nick pulled a screw job on it. It don't understand what happened...the ratings couldn't have been that low.

Maybe you should start up an online petition to plead them to bring back this show! They should have axed the likes of All Grown Up, As Told By Ginger, ChalkZone, The Fairly Odd Parents, or even 6Teen (All of them even suckier shows!) instead of axeing the great My Life As A Teen-Age Robot!
I think that an online petition to bring back XJ9 & My Life As A Teen-Age Robot would be a great idea to tell Nickelodeon that they should have axed some other show instead!
I hope we could make a difference!

It is a really good show and I hope they start showing it again. Nickeloden is horribly awful and not how it use to be. There scheduling is really awful also because it's so erratic.

I hope the series does not suffer the same fate as Doug: Getting thrown to Disney.

Can't I like both Fairly Oddparents and My Life as a Teenage Robot?
Jeremy A. Patterson
06-19-2006, 09:24 AM
The two shows are very different beasts:
My Life As A Teen-Age Robot is on the same level as SpongeBob Squarepants, Action League Now!, Ren & Stimpy, the 1998 CGI Donkey Kong Country show, the filmation Star Trek, & the entire 1980s Marvel productions/Sunbow output (Except for Jem): It has great stories, cool character designs, excellent writing, classic characters, excellent voice acting, musical scores on the level of the best of the Disney features or 'Batman: The Animated Series', & the production level is top-notch. If it were a comic book, it would be on the level as Will Eisner's 'The Spirit', Carl Barks' Disney tales, The entire AC Comics output, the circa-1983 Red Circle Comics Group, Simon & Kirby's 'Captain America', 'Fighting American', 'Adventures of the Fly', & 'The Double Life of Private Strong', Super Boxers, Mac Afro, & Neil Googe's Bazooka Jules: Fine Wine!
Fairly Odd Parents, on the other hand, is on the level of All Grown Up, Angela Anaconda, As Told By Ginger, ChalkZone, the original run of Doug, Jem, My Dad The Rock Star, 6Teen, Just For Kicks, Super Robot Monkey Team GO Go Go, & The Filmation Archies: Complete & utters trash. The writing is as coherent as the pot-hole ridden streets of New Orleans, the animation is about as fluid as a block of dry ice, the characters are idiotic (Unlike the smart, competent characters of My Life As A Teen-Age Robot), the show is repetitive, & the music is on the level of the Filmation Archies or 'Bucky & Pepito'. If it were a comic book, it would be like the Mighty Comics Group, the 1960s Dell heroes, Harvey's Jigsaw, DC's Ultra The Multi-Alien, the 'SPLIT' Captain Marvel, all of Ben Dunn's output, the Namor shojo, The Mangaverse, & Watson & Gane's Paris: Limburger.
It is okay to like both, but for what they are!
But this thread is not about comparisons to other shows, it is about My Life As A Teen-Age Robot!

The main reason the All Grown Up was bad is because the voice acting was very much like what the Bizarro World version of the Rugrats would be like! In my opinions, the best thing that the studio behind the show had ever done is 'Ahh! Real monsters', since it was a cool concept, & I personally think that Nickelodeon should officially retire the entire 'Rugrats' franchise (of which All Grown Up is part of) & revive the 'Ahh! Real Monsters' franchise in its place!

The only show worth watching on Nickelodeon is Avatar.
Not to say I wouldn't do Jenni if I got the chance.
'Cause I would. Mmmm, sweet robot statutory....

MLAATR is good. But not on the level of Avatar good. Hell, Avatar is on the level of JLU, Samurai Jack, Gargyoloes level of good qualtiy shows. MLAATR has never approached that plateau of quailty as those shows. Avatar has.

I enjoy the show. And I hope it makes DVD some day because I would consider buying it.
The episodes where she starts to see things all Dr. Seuss-like and the longer one where she visits Cluster Prime are among my favorites.
This show has some amazing moments referencing classic cartoon styles and just all kinds of other neat things.

I, too, am a great fan of MLAATR, and I've seen nearly every episode, including "Escape from Cluster Prime."
They just need special epi where Jenny discovers the truth about the Silver Shell, forcing Sheldon to get out and be a hero on his own merits.
I dunno, I kinda like Sheldon as the Silver Shell. Although I do agree he needs to start shining on his own.. Kid's a High School Teen who can match scientific knowledge with Professor Wakeman.. He's a frickin' supergenius, he is..

Yes, Tish, I hope Nickelodeon airs more of My Life As A Teen-Age Robot in time for the new fall season. If not on Nickelodeon, then maybe as part of the Nick Toons channel. Maybe you can search the online listings for the show!

I felt that this show is one of the best shows Nickelodeon produced in the past five years (In my opinion, it is better than 6Teen, Danny Phantom, The Fairly Odd Parents, Drake & Josh, & Ned's Declassified Back-To-School Survival Guide!)
I felt that Viacom should answer our calls to reinstate this truly terrific show, even if it means placing it on the sunday morning/Sunday afternoon line-up, The NickToons Channel, or even TEENick!
Do any of you agree with me?

Wow David the Gnome I remember that. I forgot all about that show. As for my life...the few episodes I saw were boring. Than again nearly everything I've seen on Nick in many years has bored me.
It's not my cup of tea but if enough people want it back it should be brought back. Besides I rarely watch that channel at all so it wouldn't bother me either way.

If it's popular to the general public then I say why not. Just becuase one person doesn't like the show doesn't mean that the network has to bend to that person's wishes.

Aside from your horrid grammar ("completly horrible anymore"?), I completly disagree with your opinion.
If anything, MLAATR should be brought back for more episodes and new storylines.. Darnit, "Escape from Cluster Prime" was a good way to end the series, but I still want more Jenny!
Isn't it on MTV called My Super Sweet Sixteen?
