You're a sick sick man, Mr.B.

I'm not quite sure I like the ending. Sure, it resolves the problem with Proteus, but it's definitely not the way I thought it would end.

Still, it was good to see Blink taking charge again. After losing Mimic she'd been kind of in a funk and she is the real core of this team to me.

Well, I was definitely going for "not what I expected." That almost always beats "oredictable." But if you felt unsatosfied, at least the Tour is over, and we're returning to some good old-fashioned alternate reality ass-whuppin'.

Seriously.

"Not what I expected" Ehmm... Tony, I think, the boring ending is not what I expected. This power rangers like clishe ending is not what I expected. The world tour was so much ado but nothing.

It doesn't resolve the problem at all. Just leaves the problem to simmer until it explodes. How exactly are they going to explain to Morph what happened to Proteus. And he still has access to Proteus' powers, even if they're on a subconscious level. Morph falls asleep and dreams or starts fantasizing, and he's going to start twisting reality and not understand why. Not to mention he's now weak to metal, so how are they going to explain that to Morph. It's just not a very satisfying conclusion after 15 or so issues of storyline dealing with chasing Proteus.

Well.........the twist is that Proteus **BELIEVES** he's Morph.

Morph isn't weak to metal...
Morph can't twist reality...

......so Morph doesn't do those things.

See?

(See, that's why I kept my review to "Buh?" Makes my head hurt less.. :p )

It was one of those things for me where I like that something really unexpected happened, but I didn't like how it was done. Too anti-climactic. I mean, the entire Heroes Reborn world was at stake, but I had no investment in what happens to them.

I defintely still liked the twist, though, and I am SO glad to have TB for a few more issues. (And yea for my favorite Exiles artist doing this arc.)

Yeah... I'm going to have to give it a thumbs-down too. Sorry, Mr. B., but just because the ending's unpredictable doesn't mean it's good, you know? The World Tour lasted for ten months, fourteen straight issues, and it ends with an anticlimax? No closure on the matter of Proteus or Counter-Earth? That's just not fair. I get that you were aiming for "They'll never see it coming", but... I don't know. The end result is that the whole World Tour Saga builds up to something that just doesn't happen. You set up the dominoes, then go outside for a game of soccer.

Well...poop.

At least we're back to short arcs and regular adventures for the next seven issues...

Think about that again.
Morf isn't weak to metal.
Morf can't twist reality.

Yes, Morf doesn't do those things.
But Proteus DO.
And to be weak to metal is not "doing a thing" ya know.

Oh yes and there is something a wery important.
Proteus is now living in Morfs body.
You know he just belives he's Morf.
But He's not morf, He's Proteus.

I just did some brainstorm.
Hundreds of Wolverines - Adamantium - Metal - Proteus - Morf
Can you feel it?

Thnx for the audience.
Respect, and Peace.
And good afternoon (there it is good night).

Folks, the exact nature of Morph's new status quo and his sensitivity to metal will be explored over the course of the next seven issues. By all means speculate, place your bets, etc., but stay tuned and your questions will be answered. ;)

Hi Mr. TB and everyone!

I am worrying about Morph and the solution. I am worrying about the solution like the bugs as the breakers of the time.
All the mainstream comics evolving for a more realistic and more believable story arcs. both the pictures. I had loved the Calafiore-era, but I prefer mostly by these facts the Pelletier's.
Exlies seems not to be evolving for the more realism. No, not like the Ultimate-way, but the believable conflicts and solitions. There are borders, of course, but the borders are also evolving.
What I mean: the New Universe was great. It was great. It was Exil-ish.
I loved.

Fear from the solutions, folks.
Care about the solutions, please Mr. TB.

Glad you're around for the next few issues. Do you know if the Exiles trades have been a hit for Marvel?

I've found that thanks to the consistency in writers and team, I can easily turn new folks onto the series.

Every other Marvel trade except the Ultimate line and Daredevil re-numbers itself for dramatic direction changes with writer/artist teams.

I go through Exiles trades like I do Daredevil, the Ultimate line, and most of the Vertigo books. Once a reader grabs the first one - they devour the series.

Seven issues... is that how many you've got left before Claremont comes on? If so, I look forward to what you put out there in the interim. I love Claremont, but I've been loving your writing, too. I must admit, I missed Negation, so to my knowledge, Exiles is the first time I've read your stuff, but I haven't been disappointed overall. I look forward to your next endeavors.

I felt myself mixed out about the end of the world tour. I missed the catharsis. There is no tragedy, but there is no a reassuring end. It's annoying, but to be getting nervous leads us to read the newer issues. Maybe you experiment with us to find out how a new - multi-stage story plot - style literature works, and you are a clever boy, Tony. Maybe not, and the Marvel wants us to buy more and more comics with a new kind of marketing? Or I just like the conspiracy theories?:D

Riotgear,

By all means, go find NEGATION and ROUTE 666 in the quarter bins! I've enjoyed the hell out of working on EXILES, but I'll be the first to admit I haven't always been at my best on the book. It's just easier to hit those high notes when you build a book from the ground up.

I enjoyed NEGATION but ROUTE 666 was awesome. Easily the best Crossgen book in my opinion. Both the story and the art are top notch. As far as the Exiles "World Tour" goes I enjoyed most of arc and the stuff I didn't enjoy was from little interest for that particular universe not the writing. The ending was kind of anticlimactic but I liked the arc over all. Oh, hello everyone I am new to the forum.

I was very disappointed with this issue...

I love Exiles more than any title ever, and I'm the first to defend it.

But I'd really dislike.. almost hate it.. if it remains Proteus in Morphs body and not the real Morph.

Wow! Nice picture milkhouse!
I think I've already posted this question, but how was able Proteus wear Dorma's crown? Was it from plastic?

Tony Bedard

That'll be addressed a few isssues from now when they take a closer look at how the "rules" have changed since Proteus inhabited Morph's body, and whether or not they can make this work with him long-term without Proteus "waking up." Bear with me...

I'm really excited to see how this all plays out. It almost surely will end up in disaster for the team as they doubtfully can keep this a secret forever. I think Proteus-Morph is a fun addition to the team that continues the Exiles' tradition of having unique characters that make for great stories.

I liked the ending of World Tour because it freaked me out. The look the rest of the team gives when Morph puts his hand in to the team's huddle is great. It was a spur of the moment decision that had to be made and will cause a great load of tension for the team for issues to come. I love seeing the teammates confused about how to act around him. They have to relax around him at times like they did with Morph, but then remember that Proteus is still inside him. The dynamics that sets up can bring about some really great character moments and interesting story progression.

By the way, Tony, I met you at CAPE. At the time, I said I had only picked up a few issues of Exiles before World Tour and started late in that. You signed a copy of the first World Tour trade for me, but I proceeded to lose it shortly afterward. I think it was left at the hotel, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I've picked up all the issues put out since CAPE and dug them a lot even if I know next to nothing about some of the established alternate realities they visit.

I have enjoyed Tony's run so far. Sure Proteus ending was anti-climatic. It was a nice change for once. Not saying I would like it all the time, but once in awhile is nice. Personally I hated to see Mimic go. I wanted Beak dead instead. :p I enjoyed the World tour probably because I remember many of those books as kid in the 80s. There werent very good back then so its nice to see someone give them the right treatment.

Id like to see what alot of people would like to see next. Exiles needs to hop into Ultimate U, Thor's Asgard rules the world(Jurgens), a Post Civil War reality, A Post Days of the Future Past where we lost, A different outcome of the Kree/Skrull War, Dracula doesnt die, Count Nefaria beats the Avengers, A Secret Wars/Beyonder reality and list goes on and on. Thats what makes this title great. Its What If stories with a twist and its why I cant stop buying them.

Overall I enjoyed most of World Tour. There were a lot of great moments and even though it caused the death of my two favorite characters (Mimic and Morph...sort of) I enjoyed it overall. Even though it was a good run it really did end on a WTF note. Nice twist but it left a lot of serious questions about Morph.

It’s good you’ll be exploring it more with upcoming issues. There is a lot that can be done with that and it would be a shame to just ignore that it happened.

I've read the 85th issue.
I missed the action, but basicly it was good. The number of the young James Howlett's earth was funny, and Elsie Dee is usually good. And I liked the new creatures. But the action....
