Yes it worked for Buffy TVS.
I would love to see a Live action X-Men TV Show.
Harry Potter would be great as a TV Show in that it can run for 7 year with little or no problems and have a diverse cast just using the characters introduced in the books.
White Squall- Only they would have to rename it the Albatross after the ship. They would have new locations all over the world and be like a Real World in that every year it could have a new cast.
So what Movies do you think should/would work if expanded into a TV Series.

First Blood. rambo could go around fighting terrorists and commies and park rangers every week. Now thats good television.
Irony:
About the only movie I could ever want to become a series is doing just that in two weeks; Blade. . . . .But it looks like crap!:(

I believe a Rambo series already happened but it was a cartoon show.
An X-Men tv series that focus on the younger generation of X-Men like Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Rogue, yeah she lost her powers but thare could be a way to bring the powers back. This could actually be marvels answer to Smallville.

Starship Troopers and Judge Dredd
There was a computer animated ST show called Roughnecks or something, I think it was pretty good but it was a saturday morning cartoon.

Starship Troopers and Judge Dredd
Dredd would make a great tv show if it was shot and scripted in a style somewhere in between The Sheild & Battlestar galactica

It's always amazed me that Mr. Mom never became a sitcom! It had all the stuff going for it. Fish out of water, gender reversal, horny neighbours/jealous wife...
I'd love to see a Star Wars TV show, set like 40 years before "Phantom Menace," where Yoda could be less visible, perhaps still out on missions, instead of in the temple all the time. As the show progresses, we could see Palpatine begin his training as a Sith.

Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles
A really good series, and despite being animated, didn't pull that many punches when it came to violence and subject matter. People died, got paralyzed, mortally wounded, etc. It did a very good job of taking elements of both the book and the movie.

On HBO:
THE BADASS ADVENTURES OF JULES WINFIELD, produced by Quentin Tarantino (with the pilot directed by him).
This would be launched from the conversation that Jules & Vincent had in the coffee shop near the end of PULP FICTION. Jules has given up "the life" and is walking the earth getting into adventures "like Cain in KUNG-FU". It's Sam Jackson travelling the earth and occasionally running into other characters from the Tarantino-verse (Seth Gecko, Beatrix Kiddo, Butch & Fabienne, etc.).
Try and tell me this wouldn't be appointment viewing for you each week.

I think this is the best idea ever.

I could see Over The Hedge being turned into a tv series ala Jimmy Neutron. And I too, concur with Homer's idea about Jules though it would definitely have to be on cable.

They actually produced a pilot for a Mr. Mom sitcom, but it was so bad, it never became a series.
