TMNT wass it that good

you know looking back the movie now it was a good movie it was before its time i rank it up there with batman 1 and superman 1 .. it was really that good .. :eek: . it had to be the best movie to come out for that year or that 2 years

I think it was ok, but then again it defies definition. You cant say "That movie with those giant talkin' karate turtles sucked ass" can you? No, the sheer cajones it took to make that movie garners it some respect. On the other hand, its nothing compared to Superman the Movie. No chance.

It was good 'cause it really struck a balance between the tone of the comic and the lighter tone of the cartoon. It wasn't nudity and curse words, but it definitely had a dark, gritty feel that wasn't carried over into the cartoon. Splinter's imprisonment and Raphael essentially beaten into a coma was pretty rough. Not to mention the inclusion of Casey Jones.

it was better then a lot of movies .. the fight with sredder come on raph getting his a$$ handed to him . this movie was on time for real and then the story was good . it was a cartoon dream to be made in to something that good ... better then batman begins imo but thats if you ask me :eek:

Goodfellas came out that year. Misery came out that year. Sorry, TMNT was not a good movie.

if you want to take it there .. look how much money tmnt made ? it was a block buster it made over a 100 mill :eek:

it made more money .. had a good story and went on to become a icon . what that tell you .. it wa better right

Batman Begins was epic while TMNT was a good popcorn flick.

The turtles saying that catchphrase at the end of the film was a nice touch though.
