Unfortunatley, I won't be able to get my copy until this Friday due to personal stuff going on today. D= (That, and uhhh, I don't think my car has enough fuel to get me to the comic store and back and I'd rather not chance it)
But I hope it's okay if I start a talkback for others to discuss the issue today though. (If not, feel free to smack me silly, ED)

I normally like at least a teeny-tiny bit of spoilers or discussion in the initial posts of issue threads.
But no harm, no foul.

I'll help Elegance out. The Super Skrull is in the negative zone. How is that for a spoiler?:D I'll also have to give a full report next week when I can get the book.

I would have my book but the street where i get my comics from is currently flooded! They have the street blocked off at either end and my little comic store is in the middle at the lowest point. I hope it makes it through ok :(
I live in NC and Alberto is making it's way through. So back to work with no new reading. Hopefully tomorrow.

Okay, some brief spoilers.
We start out ten days after the last issue. K'lrt and his gang are building a dimensional portal and some weapons to take on the Harvester. This issue is mostly narrated by Praxagora (let's call her Prax), and it's interesting to see K'lrt through her eyes as opposed to R'Kin in #2. There's even an almost tender moment between Prax and K'lrt. It doesn't go well, but it's a nice scene.
Anyway, K'lrt has the Annihilation Wave scientist who built the Harvester build him a new doomsday weapon, then kills him. He leads his army back into the real universe, attacks the Harvester, and . . . fails. He's betrayed by R'Kin, and Zaragzna (the planet where K'lrt's son lives) is destroyed.
As promised, this issue is chock full of warriorly introspection and action. Titus's art isn't going to please everyone, but I think the story and the characters are strong enough to carry the story on their own.

Well... the Skrull empire being destroyed was mentioned in SS#3 so I gathered he had failed. It will be cool to read the details whe i get the book tomorrow.

I never saw that coming, R'Kin betraying SUper Skrull was a very nice twist. I am glad R'Kin became more than just some kid who worshipped the Super Skrull. Issue Four should be chock full of action as the Super Skrull is destined to avenge the murder of his son! I can't wait until next issue.

I'm the other way round, I saw it coming from last issue, so the ending was kind of a disappointment.
That said, I continue to dig this book. I really like Praxagora, I hope she sticks around.
I really find it surprising how interesting a character Super Skrull has turned out to be.

Damn you Sidekick Skrull!!!!!!
I didn't see it I was too wrapped up in his "innocence". Dammit all to hell!!!!
I thought his warriorly introspection was genuine but he was just a fraud....
Great issue! It's amazing how one mini can make what was a minor character to me into one of my favorites!
I'm digging Praxagora too. I hope she survives...
Super Skrull and Praxagora - Emperor and Empress of the New Skrull Empire! :D
Hey, if Silver Surfer can become Galactus' Herald again and Nova can get the entire Nova Force crammed into his body, then Super Skrull can become the Skrull monarch.
Maybe he'll do it in Teddy's (Hulkling) name?

Hot Metal Robot Chick can definitely stay. Good issue overall.

R'kin betrayal was obvious way back in issue 1 when he mentions to Reed Richards that they're shape shifters and R'kin's age is unknown...
Sarnogg getting killed though? THAT was surprising. I expect K'lrt to go down in the blaze of glory, destroying the Harvester and God knows how many soldiers... I hope Praxadora at least isn't a throwaway character.

While the betrayal was obvious I really liked how they built up to it. They made him an actual character in a story. Sometimes its just "BOOM heres your traitor" and you have no idea who the hell this person is.
Next issue promises to have all kinds of insanity. I can't wait for it.

The betrayal was predictable, yes, but I think it was pulled off well. I, at least, came out of the issue really hating the little runt and hoping for the inevitable, very, very painful payback at the hands of the SS.

Isn't it awesome? After years of substandard writing, someone finally put some effort into realizing this guys potential. Not that I'm one of those "I've been a SS fan since day one" guys or anything, just saying. I have to say, I'm a big fan of this guy now, and hope he continues to get a little limelight. HUZZZAH!

I thought R'Kin would dissent or try to show Super Skrull the error of his ways (from his point of view). I didn't think he would do what he did. Nice suprise but i was liking R'Kin up to that point. Oh well. I liked the bile drinking bit.
I like the wildstyle artwork. Out of the four minis, I didn't think I'd like Super Skrull but it's good. I hope Super Skrull hooks up with Prax
And we don't know for sure that Super Skrulls son was on the planet when it was harvested. That last image seemed more symbolic of death but inconclusive.

Meh, i loved it as usual, i really dig Titus' art for this - i think it's so important that all four titles have distinctively different art.
I guess my only vice is that we never once got to meet Super-Skrull's son.
Unless he survived.
Which could be just as possible as his death.
Unless that decaying Skrull body was physically SEEN by Super-Skrull, and not just imagined.
Still, awesome.

Amen to that!
This was a great issue. I didn't see the betrayal coming. I mean, how could that little twerp strike a deal w/ the "wave" when he was in the Negative Zone? How cool was it to watch SS "make" more workers? ;) I really enjoyed the POV change from SS to Prax too.
Q - The last page where the planet blows up, there is an image of R'kin with kind of "half a face." Is that supposed to mean something???

Skimmed through it at the second LCS this past weekend. (I'm still broke for the rest of this month... *whimper*)
All I have to say is three things:
1) Is there a way Marvel can steal Javier away from ABC again in the near future? 'Cause Marvel has been needing a QUALITY writer like him for years, IMO.
2) R'KIN NO! D=
3) Hehehe, Super Skrull and Praxagora, sittin in' a tree, k-i-s-s... something-something-T! Naw, I kid. Praxagora is an interesting character. Hope she gets to stick around after Annihilation.

I believe that was Super Skrull imagining what was happening to his son.

Someone predicted this as soon as the first issue came out. I was hoping that it wouldn't turn out that way. It still surprised me, I guess.

I would like to say that I foresaw R'kin's betrayal after reading the second issue. Although I did not expect him to smirk the way he did. Now i want the little SOB DEAD!
Totally didn't see the betrayal coming. I'm not sure exactly why he betrayed them and what he hopes to gain. It's an annihilation wave, they're performing genocide against his entire race. What's gonna be left for him? Hopefully in #4 we'll get some answers while Super Skrull crushes the life out of him.

Uhmmmm.....
Am I the only one that thinks R'kin -is- Super-Skrull's son?
Definitely digging Prax though, I hope she's not a "throwaway" character. It's nice to see the "bad guys" get some love. ;)

Maybe. Last ish we get a story of how the SS saw his son go on a hunt, so I think he'd recognize him. And yeah, I know we're dealing w/ shape shifters but R'kin is certainly a far cry from being a combat warrior. It even mentions it in R'kin's bio.

same here. I expected Sup Skrull to be my least favorite of the four, and now I think it's the best. I like all of the crew he picked up in the negative zone.
I think the art is awesome too. The way all of SS's abilities are used so casually really impresses me.
