While at the conventions I do a lot of sketches that don't see print anywhere! They are drawn on the spot and whisked away to a private collection. I love it that these pieces are given a loving home, but they also need to be shared and enjoyed by everyone!
THAT'S WHAT THIS POST IS ALL ABOUT!
Every two weeks I"ll update the link below to display a different convention drawing! If you have one of my convention sketches, or even a full blown commission, send me a scan and I'll be sure share!

I think that alot of my fans know that I draw Batman alot.. well.. A whole lot... I love the character and thankfully it seems that the fans like how I draw him as well! There have been a good number of conventions this year already and I've been asked to draw Batman quite a few times. I know that I've posted Batman drawings here alot, but this one is my favorite of the year to date! It was so fun and quick... I just jumped out of me. Unfortunatly this is a li'l piece and the only pic of it that I have was taken with a digital camera. But all apologies aside I'm really quite pleased with this piece... If you are the owner of this ( or really any other Batman) drawing from my hand please send me a scan to: saygerart@hotmail.com
Enough of my talking... Take a look and YOU tell ME what you think of this sketch!

Beautiful imagery, Stuart. I love the mysteriousness and the mood you created. Batman disappearing/blending into the white is a great touch. Love the facial expression, as well.

You know that I'll be at midohio.. and thanks for the kind words about the batman piece... I gotta tell ya though.. I can't help but think about that Princess Leia that you made for John H. at midohio last year and feel worthless!

Hey.. I heard that there isn't going to be a pre-party at the laughing ogre this year.. is that the case..?

Unfortunately, The Ogre was bought out and is under new ownership. Every one of the old crew is gone except Gibb, who stayed to manage the shop. So, no Friday night pre-con joint. Bummer. End of an era.

Now John wants me to do a Slave Girl Leia for him this year. I don't mind. I'll try not to muck it up.

Thanks, and see you at the con.

Hey Stuart,

I'd be more than willing to host a pre-con shindig at my place. >.> <.<

But then, I'm 20 minutes away from the hotel.

Here's the thing. In the new location of the convention if someone wants to hang out in the bar there is one on the second floor of the Hyatt. We can also get general non-alcoholic beveredges and some food depending on time. Good place to meetup and hang out.

There are also some awesome restaurants in the area of the convention center. Mongolian BBQ, Frog, Bear, and Wild Boar, Barley's. Let me know if you need any suggestions as I'm at this hotel 4-5 weekends a year.

I really would like there to be some sort of pre-con get together.. ( especially since this con is only 2 days long ... and more importantly , the LAST OF THE YEAR !).. I don't know how many people will be coming in to town a day early, but i'd be interested!

Would there be music and dancing at this thing? And I mean dance music, not that stuff you have to be drunk out of your mind to move to.:evilsmile

Eddy:

Frog, Bear, and Wild Boar has live music but we really don't have too many true dance clubs in the area. There's also another bar called Little Brother's a little ways up High Street but no true dance music really either. We're just outside what is known as the Short North which is where a lot of the bars and art galleries are.

Stuart:

Let me see what I can put together. If you can help plant the bug in some people's ears then I'd be more than happy to be kind of a liaison. I also might see about contacting Roger and putting something on the convention site.
