Morna and I were included in a new book about glass art. Thousands of images were submitted and both of us were chosen as well as several of our glass geek friends.

That sound you heard was me falling in a dead faint after being exposed to such beauty. Even on the internet the pieces look gorgeous and stunning.

I am constantly amazed at the talent displayed by all you Hellboarders.

We don't have any larger images than that here in our home computers. I'll try to post a bigger one tomorrow.

The blue on the vase is alive!!!!
and I love the mass of Morna's 'core' series.

Gary, your work seems mind boggling complex. wow!

I got to see Gary's slide presentation when he was here (he was a featured artist at the Canadian Glass Conference) and learn all about how those pieces are made, and see the process (in slides). It's pretty damned cool, and complex.

Oh and of course I've seen both Gary & Morna's work in person. Photos are nothing like seeing it in person!

Btw if anyone should chance to see this vase in out there in the world - let me know as it's stolen property! The gallery in Montreal where it was being displayed got scammed on an internet sale - this was one of the two pieces (of mine!) that were involved. sigh a good piece in the hands of someone who doesn't deserve it. I hate that.

Congratulations, you two. Gary-I showed these images to one of my co-workers and she said she thinks that the designs on your first piece were etched in on the surface, and I told her that they were blown in. I hope I am right. Could you post that piece from a certain angle that will show what I stated was true? Thanks.

Gene - the shapes are separately made on the blowpipe and suspended so that they float in a solid mass of clear glass. These are the only other images I have of that piece...

Hey, none of that! You have awesome drawing skills and I can hardly draw my way out of a wet paper bag.
