i think it lacked Dafoe. Harry's just not menacing enough (yeah, i know he's not supposed to be yet). i just really miss that from the first movie; like the part where he nearly flips out on Aunt May at the dinner table. and there's just something to be said for seeing Peter swing for the first time and chase Uncle Ben's killer into the warehouse. that scene was so bad@$$.

Spidey the first.
pretty much from that list, only spidey 1 & 2 the X2.
Blade was also a marvel series/character. just wondering about the exclusion.
the first was the best of the 3.

The F4 and Spidey movies have all been very fun and entertaining in my eyes, very fun to watch over and over again.
X2 and X3 are highly overrated in my opinion.

I couldn't help but notice that you included Elektra on YOUR list but it's not an option in the poll.
I voted for Spider-Man 2, as well. Dafoe was great in the first one, but that Goblin mask was just a huge mistake.

Upon reflection after repeat viewing of Marvel films I have to cast my vote for Blade 2. With X2 in second and Fantastic Four coming in third for me.
Reason being for these picks has to do with the enjoyablity of the film after repeat viewings compared to how I enjoyed them when I first saw them. While I loved Spider-man and Spider-man 2, upon repeat viewings they become boring and not really interesting. I become more annoying with certain scenes and find myself skipping around on the dvd. X3 was just a disappointment and if and when I get the dvd just to add to my collection I'll just be getting it for the action scences cause I feel the story isn't really good. It's not horrible but it's most certainly not good.
With Blade 2, FF, and X2 I can watch all three from beginning to end multiple times and not get bored, at least not yet, and have never gotten to annoyed with things. They are still just as enjoyable now. Not to mention Blade 2 has great fights and a pretty good story with good acting.

Daredevil was my favorite.
Dont care for either of the Spider-Man films, they were good but not great.
X-Men 2 was awesome, 1 and 3 were o.k.
Hulk licked balls.
Elektra was terrible.
Blade 1 was o.k, 2 and 3 were disappointing.
Fantastic Four I enjoyed way more than I thought would.
Howard The Duck I have not seen since I was about 11 or 12, but I don't remember liking it much.
Punisher I thought I'd hate, but it was o.k too.

As mentioned before, Spiderman 2 with X2 very close behind. Spidey and X1, and X3 were following those with Daredevil close also. FF4 was good too and i'm looking forward to another Hulk episode too.

In best-to-worst order (only the ones I've seen):
X-Men - very nearly ideal. A little more thought given to Magneto, and a little more complete absence from Halle Berry, and it would've been.
X2 - stronger in some ways than the original (less time devoted to set-up, Magneto was improved, Jean had a purpose), weaker in others (Lady Deathstrike felt like a missed opportunity, and the political backing to Stryker got a bit lost once his personal motives came into play). Overall a close second.
Spider-Man - awesome on first viewing, but Peter Parker's personal story doesn't stand up well to multiple viewings. Green Goblin could've been executed better, as a more cohesive part of the core story - it felt like his whole development was extraneous to Spider-Man, and existed only to give him something more than muggers to fight.
Fantastic Four - hampered by a severely sub-par Doom. The Four were pretty good, but Doom's weakness was a major body blow to the film.
Elektra - Flawed but fun. Elektra's character had more depth than you'd expect from a dumb action film, and there was a lot of humour. Garner can carry a major role on her shoulders.
Hulk - Good components, not put together in the best of fashions. A bit of a let-down on first viewing, but surprisingly rewarding when you get what they were trying to do, and watch it again with that in mind.
Daredevil - almost forgettable. Matt was dull, Elektra was under-used, but saved from utter mediocrity by the evilly awesome Bullseye.
Blade II - good opening sequence. So-so after that - nothing wrong, nothing stand-out right.
Blade - forgettable. Literally - I've seen it, but I remember next to nothing besides my impressions of its quality: not actually bad, but no better than hundreds of other action flicks.
X-Men: The Last Stand - okay, a lot of comic book movies turn one as two-dimensional dumb action flicks. It just rankles that it happened to the smartest, best-written movie series going. Taken cold it's probably more enjoyable to watch than Hulk and those below it - it's just that the disappointment was intense.
Spider-Man II - I love what they did with Doc Ock, the scenes between him and Spidey, and the action scenes in general. But Peter Parker's personal life reached new levels of I just don't care! after two minutes, and I ended up watching most of the movie on 8x play speed, slowing down for the sensational Doc scenes. It's not that I can't engage with a personal story, it's just that this one was very very boring, and for the most part shoehorned into the Spidey/Doc conflict with no rhyme or reason at all.

There are three elite: Spiderman, Spiderman 2, and X-men 2. Spidey 2 is the best of the three by far though because it wasn't about Spiderman. It was about Peter Parker who happened to be Spiderman. Thats what gets lost in too many superhero movies. They don't develop the guy behind the mask. That is why both Spideys were so good and why other movies like X3 really sucked although that was hardly X3's only fault.

Another reason both Spider-man films were good is that Sam Raimi is a great writer/director. The guy has made a lot of good movies, superhero or not.

Spider-man 2 was the best to me. It was a great movie. After that I would have to say X2 was good. The Blade movies or ok at best with 3 being the only I kind of like. And thats only because Ryan Reynolds steals the film and makes Wesley Snipes looks like a chump in his own movie.

Hrrrmmm, lemme think. I've only seen all 3 X-Men movies, both Spider-Man films, Hulk, Daredevil and Fantastic Four.
I honestly didn't think Daredevil or FF were all that bad. DD was a fresh experience for me, as I never read the comics before. FF I had a good understanding of who's who, and I felt the story and whatnot worked just fine.
Out of the Spider-Man films, Spider-Man 2 is obviously the superior (I like how they made Otto a genuinley sympathetic character rather than a cliched evil scientist) though I agree with Miss Kitty, the whole Peter's personal life angst got REALLY tiresome after the first few minutes of it. We know you have a crummy life, Peter, and so do I! Only... I don't have superpowers.
But the first one has some personal attachment to it. Plus Willem Dafoe was incredibly awesome as the Green Goblin.
The X-Men films I feel are fairly equal, though TLS/3 is my personal favorite for some obvious biases in my favor.
And Hulk totally sucked. Long, drawn-out and another pretentious work by Ang Lee. I'm so glad I watched this on TV, otherwise I would have felt VERY cheated if I paid even a dollar for this at the theater. I hope to goodness that the sequel does it right and forgets this dud ever exsisted.
Having said that, I must give my vote to the original Spider-Man. =]

My top five would have to be Spiderman II, X-2, Spiderman,Fantastic Four and X-3.
I thought Daredevil wasnt bad, the ending of Hulk was horrible it would have been a better movie if not for th ending. X-Men was pretty good. I thought Punisher was good. And i didnt see Elektra.

1. Spidey 2.
2. Fantastic Four.
3. X-Men 2.
I'm not energetic enough to think about more than three Marvel films right now. I really liked X3 but I haven't seen it enough times for it to stand up to the scrutiny required of such an important decision.

I voted for Spider-man 2, although I've enjoyed quite a few of these movies (the ones I've seen anyways). Spidey is my favorite character, so those movies would be the top two for me - I like all of the X-Men movies, with X2 being the best, and I also enjoyed Fantastic Four. I'm actually kind of surprised how well the F4 movie is doing in this poll though, I thought I was in the vast minority in that I actually liked it. Sure, Doom needs to be improved in any future installments, but otherwise it wasn't too bad. I didn't think Daredevil was awful either, and hope to see the "Director's Cut" version someday, which I've heard is better. Anyways - back to topic - Spider-Man 2/Spider-Man are the top two for me.

I voted for X2. It was a well-balanced, smart film, which really gave legitimacy to this genre--as did the first X-Men movie.
I have to say that I really do not understand the Spider-Man 2 love. It was a sloppy knock-off of the first one. Besides, Maguire and Dunst are just wretched actors. I had trouble sitting through the first one because of those two, and I absolutely wanted to shoot myself during the second.

Okay something is seriously off about the poll when more people are voting for the F.F movie more then any of the XMen films. X-Men film were 100 times better then F.F. movie so whoever keeps changing screen names just to post on the poll needs to stop. F.F. was an awful movie with bad acting in Reed and Sue and that dreaded fake Doom origin which is a disgrace to the comic book original. On the other hand the X-Men films were good. I smell a rat I tell ya a rat. I must be in the twilight zone cus no real F.F. comic fan can honestly say the movie was good.
My movie order
1 Spiderman
2 X-Men 2
3 Spider-man 2
4 X-3
5 X-Men
6 Elektra
7 Fantastic Four
8 daredevil
9 Hulk
10 Punisher

I think Spider-Man is a great movie. Everything was done right, the action scenes were good, the personal story was not sappy or boring you cared for the characters, the acting was good, the effects weren't distracting or unrealistic. Not just a good comic book movie, but a good movie.
Movies like the X-Men movies or the Blade movies are good Action/Sci-Fi movies, but I think Spider-Man appealled to a bigger audience.
(oh, I liked Hulk too)

I can't believe Fantastic Four is tied for second right now. Its my 3rd least favorite Marvel movie with only Elektra and X-men 3 behind it. I could only find two redeeming things about F4 and that was the guy who played Torch and Michael Chiklis before he put on the horrible looking Thing suit. Other than that F4 was boring, anticlimactic, and ruined the character of Doom worse than the X-franchise ruined Cyclops. And thats hard to do.

This one is tough for me. Unlike a lot of people, I very much enjoyed X-Men 3: The Last Stand.
However, almost all Marvel movies I enjoy a lot, for some reason or another. I especially liked the X-Men movies, Spiderman (1 and 2) and Fantastic 4. The rest are good too, but just don't top those movies for me, in the Marvel Universe.

Fantastic Four is doing well b/c its a good movie.........sure it may not be on the scale as spider-man...but its definately deserves to be one of marvels top movies....good story....great special FX.....the acting was good....they nailed the characters of Reed, and Johnny......and it was a great summer movie!........Hopefully if they correct their mistakes from the first movie in the sequel....the sequel should be perfect!:D

I hated the first X-Men film and yet loved the second one.
Fantastic Four to me, was a much better film than X-men.
It was entertaining, fun and exciting. While X-men was bland, joyless and boring.
Everyone in FF acted adequately for the material, even the apparently hated Alba.
And I am hoping that FF2 not only outgrossses the original but is a better crafted film.

Dooms origin could have been easily explained with Reeds experiment ruinning his face so he decided to put on robot armor to hide his disfigurement and wanted revenge on Reed. What we ended up with was a jealous guy mad cus Reed stole back his girl.

Actuaaly Punisher was pretty good. Sure they changed some things but it was definatly better than Daredevil, Blade 2 and 3, Elektra, Howard Duck and Captin America. Thomas Jane was possible the best actor to play Punisher. Plus the DVD was a huge hit with fans. Sold like hotcakes.
Hulk was actually good to excluding the end fight scene. Banner was portrayed very well and the Hulk scenes with him and Banner were good. The middle part was the best part of the movie.

Only good DC movies are Batman (1989), Batman Begins, and Superman (1979)...the rest suck!!!
How on earth can you not include Superman 2. Only Spiderman could be considered better. To me both are equal and I really don;t like Superman. Reeves just made him so believable. Plus the story had everything. Sure the end kiss take away was bad but still a 5 star movie along with Spiderman 2.

how I would rank them
1. Spider-man II
2. X-2
3. Spider-man
4. X-men Last Stand
5. X-men
6. Captain America (I liked it!) (1991)
7. Blade III
8. Blade
9. Elektra
10. Punisher
11. Hulk
12. Blade II
13. Howard the Duck
14. Daredevil
DC movies far better
The only good movies from DC are Batman, Batman Begins, Superman and Superman II.
Batman Returns and Batman Forever are passable only becuae of Keaton, Kilmer, Carrey and the man who played Alfred.
Everything else DC sucks. Also DC has barley done anything else for movies.

X2 has horrible rewatch value,I get bored like 20 mins in.Too cerebral for my tastes, and I hate how Singer had to incorporate doomsday machines in both X1 and X2.
X3 was just meh.

I'm sure you can find VHSs on eBay or whatnot (or even in comic stores and at conventions), or if you're lazy, you can just download it somewhere, it shouldn't be too hard to find.
I didn't realize Fantastic Four had such fans. It was a REAL disappointment to me. I liked Johnny and the Thing story was okay (didn't like that Ben had a woman, Alicia wasn't given enough screen time, the fact that there was a cure for Ben took away from the tragedy, etc.). Reed didn't do anything for me, and I hated Alba's Sue. Doom, sadly, was a cookie cutter villain. He wasn't nearly as threatening as he should be, and they basically modelled him on Norman Osborn. Ugh.
Maybe my standards are too high. F4 is the only team movie that has all my favorite characters (it's a little hard for X-Men, I know, since there are so many of them, but they didn't feel like the definitive team to me in any of the movies). Plus Dr. Doom is my favorite villain and he should've been one of the most menacing movie villains of all time.
Anyway, for me it was down to X2 and Spider-Man 2. I nearly gave it to Spider-Man, but that cheesy ending made it lose points. The first Spidey would come in third, and even though I loved Dafoe, I think everyone acted better in the second movie.

Yes, yes, yes Spiderman 2 takes the cake; I agree whole heartedly.
But I liked most of them. Hulk was disappointing, but it was still something I would watch.
The FF movie I enjoyed, except that I would have liked more Doom than we got. Also, I sort of expected him to have a metallic sounding voice; but instead, he sounded like joe shmoe.
I'm wondering if maybe they will make him a little more scary in the sequel assuming that there will be one. Hope they dress him up in a real Doom outfit.
