Doug Jones was at the Sacramento Comics and Collectibles Show in Northern California today...
And it was really great getting to meet him. He's one of the nicest and most personable people I've gotten to to meet, and really knows how to talk (and listen) to fans. He genuinely was interested in hearing about me - something I guess I never thought a celebrity would do. I think it surprised him that I knew about the animated series, and I got to learn somethings about filming hellboy as well... the story behind David Hyde Pierce's voice over, among others.
Oh and I got an awesome signed photo from him too.
"Best Fishes" indeed.

Really? Has that been settled that DHP won't be doing it? Great for me but I hadn't heard that.

Someone else made this public today, but GdT had said this to fans during the signing at Fango Con, which I already knew. Doug was delighted, to say the least, and it wasn't exactly said privately. Obviously there is still the problem of getting HBII green-lit, but it was still lovely for him to hear. Here's hoping everything gets sorted and we get the film.

Hey, if they'll greenlight movies like Freddy Got Fingered, Maid in Manhattan, New York Minute, and other similar dreck, HBII should be able to outshine movies like that like the sun when compared to a 60 Watt bulb! :D

Note to self: Never let the members of the Hellboard see the Maid in Manhattan poster over my bed.
