Bought the game on Saturday, finished it on Sunday. The game is short, but it draws you in pretty well nonetheless.
The graphics are a step up from Half-Life 2, and the commentary option is fun, although I recommend saving it for the second time through the game, so you don't miss the expository dialogue the first time around.
All in all, though, I can't wait for Episode Two..

Indeed. It was very short, but also very sweet. A far tighter, more intense experience than it's predecesor. I'm beginning to think this episodic gaming lark might actually be a good idea after all.

I finished it yesterday. I really enjoyed it. I think Alyx really improved since HL2, AI wise.
I liked the new "total darkness" gameplay element.
I love the commentary. But did anyone else have trouble hearing it over the ingame audio? I tried turning down the ingame stuff but it turned down the commentary as well. I know this wouldn't be for everyone but I'd love an option to be able to auto pause the game and cut the ingame audio when you click on a commentary bubble. I had to turn on captions and ended up reading it half the time.
I wouldn't have minded a new weapon or two.
Zombies. I'm really getting tired of zombies. Really.
Overall a great game and well worth the money. Can't wait for Episode 2 this fall.

It's awesome.
This and Liberty City Stories are about as good as you can do for 20 bucks brand new.

Anybody notice that when you shine the flashlight into Alyx's eyes in a dark area she shields her face and backs off?
