I'm unemployed as of the end of this month...
I'm not being fired.
The Company I work for is going out of buissness.
Now I have to get a new job.
This sucks alot.
What does this mean for unemployment?
Can I draw it till I get a new job? Because I have rent to pay.
Also, what do you call it when the company your working for goes under so that you dont have a job? Was I fired, or laid off, or somthing completely diffrent... just curious.

It does suck, dude. You have my sympathy. Going out looking for a job is one of the worst things ever.
I've never applied for unemployment, but I've gotta think you'll be eligible, depending on how long you've worked. It wasn't like you just up and quit.
Best of luck to you.:)

Thanks. I appreciate it... I'm a little shocked since the bussiness seemed to pick up.

As far as I know, you're eligible for unemployment so long as you didn't quit or get fired for cause. That isn't the case so I think you'll be able to collect.
