Selling TONS of Hellboy comicbooks!

I couldn't find another forum for this, so I thought I might as well post it here. I have the following Hellboy comics all in excellent or near mint condition. I would like to sell them for $200.00 + $5.00 to ship.

Seeds of Destruction 1-4
The Corpse and the Iron Shoes (Original 1st printing)
Wake the Devil 1-5
Almost Colussus 1-2
Box Full of Evil 1-2
Conqueror Worm 1-4
Third Wish 1-2
The Island 1-2
Makoma 1
Amazing Screw On Head

If I may make a suggestion, I think you'll have better luck selling them individually instead of all together. If you do decide to sell them separately, I need Third Wish #1 and Amazing Screw on Head.

Also don't we all need Third Wish #1, and Amazing Screw on Head. And I think you will get more for splitting up your collection. Maybe into smaller groups.

I won't sell anything seperate though... if you want one issue from a mini-series it has to be the whole series, not just a single issue from it.

Personally, I'd skip the tattoo and keep the comics. Less painful and more enjoyable in the long run. :D

I have Third Wish #1...it was my first Hellboy comic. I got it because of the cover. I didn't have any idea what Hellboy was back then. It ended up getting me into it a few years after it came out. I can't imagine it was that hard to find...I got it more or less by accident.

In some ways, this is the wrong board to advertise on. Most of us already have the comics. Or have the TPBs and don't worry about the comics.

Just a heads-up reminder to everyone--

Per CBR forums, this is one of the few forums that accepts posting about eBay and personal sales. (ALL MUST BE HELLBOY/BPRD QUASI RELATED THOUGH.)

For many boards on CBR, sale postings are considered spam-- and it can get you deleted or banned. (Except in certain cases like indy comics promotion, etc.)

Your prices are perhaps over-optimistic also. All the completist collectors here completed their collections a while back, I suspect. Anyone new to Hellboy is going to look at your $24 for Third Wish/The Island, and go and get the Strange Places TPB (or any one of the trades) on Amazon for $12 instead.

You might have better luck on eBay, but I don't know that you'll be lucky enough to get those asking prices.

Yeah, hellboy.com forums have always allowed sales--

When Jonah at CBR generously offered to let me have the forum here instead of the hassles of other message board places, I told him about the gazillion good and bad things our forums have done-- from custom made toys (good) and sales of Mike's original art (good) to bad bad times that made me cry at the keyboard.

Anyhow, because Jonah never said he had a problem with the origainal art sales or anything else, so I have continued the open-policy per sales at this forum. (Man, we've been here for 4 years now, right?)

I guess if it ever becomes a problem for CBR, the sale postings would have to stop here, but I sincerely hope that would never be the case, because it's been a 8+ year tradition overall-- and I guess I'd have to figure out some other way to share the classifieds with everyone, hahahahahhaha. :)

Per my HB comic collection, I always want individual issues vs. TPBs if I have the choice. (And the TPBs as well) :P :)

Per sales in general-- comics, magazine backissues, anything: For me, selling individually is a pain in the butt-- but sometimes it gets you more, sometimes not. There's the buyer's convenience factor in play, especially if they want to jump start a collection.

I'd ask about $170-$200 for this set. But then again, I expect to pay collector prices for the things that I really want that I buy/sell, dupes or not. I'm sorta old school per comics and keep them acid-free, bagged, and purty.

For this group, as a set, and since it includes shipping, I'd say $8 each on average if I was selling. I've been selling and buying comics for a very long time and I feel like that's a fair price for out of print, pain in the butt to find comics. Finding the OOP issues/sets you need can be a task.
