Figured since Hellboy and The Goon have met that it was O.K. to post
this here. 'Sides, looked all over the CBR forums and couldn't find a
DarkHorse forum. So, looks like a 3 issue anthology.

This must be the big announcement Eric and Albatross have been alluding to these past few months. Here's hoping it doesn't turn into another Weird Tales.

Yeah, this thing could go either way, really great or really stinky...

Doesn't matter to me much either way since in the meantime he's working on CHINATOWN!! Whoo!

Thomas Lennon and Guy Davis.
f*ck yes.How the spectacular barrage of monkey-flung crap did I miss that?!?!
Now there's a man who can take a beating with a chair to the head. (Thomas Lennon; I don't know about Guy Davis. Yet.) (Or maybe it was Ben Garant who took the beating? I can't remember. But it was a fine, fine beating. And my piece of the chair with his DNA permanently embedded in it shall be treasured always.)
If he writes as well as he takes a beating then he's the mans for the jobs. And Guy Davis can probably be trusted to not give Franky pupils. :)

Upon further review I see that Thomas Lennon wrote the intro for the "Virtue..." TPB.
I worry that he might have a little Peaches Valentine fetish. :p
EDIT: and he wrote the Jimmy Turtle piece. How could I forget that? Me fail Goon readin' comprehension.

Neato.... I was wondering what the good news about The Goon (which became one of my favorite comics after the HB team up, natch) was about. The stories have gotten a bit shorter after Powell started putting so much detail in his art, so I wondered how he'd pull off Chinatown with what it obviously a full time deal. I would have completely understood if he decided to take some time off to do it... but providing this little replacement shows real dedication to the fans!

Here is a link to Tad's account of the chair incident. It's from the SDCC Adventure thread last summer.

Eric's chair-smash event was brilliant. He surprised everyone in the room that day. I had an opportunity to examine the chair fragment that ruta owns last week when morna and I were visiting and it looks like real wood even close up.
