Thanks for posting that Tad! I especially liked this comment from Mike: "Okay, that’s Tad Stone’s Hellboy.”
How does it feel Tad to now have your own version of Hellboy floating around the accepted cannon for this character? :D

I think its nifty that Mignola sees Guillermo as the movie side and Tad as the
animated side of his character. Oh, and I've ordered the animated statue.
Just couldn't pass that one up. Looking forward to the Conan issues by Mignola and Nord. The latest issue with art by Eric Powell was very tasty.
Other goodies to come, Otto!
I know what Mike is saying but I definitely think of it as his Hellboy. I can't think of an instance where I didn't take his suggestion. Where the videos differ the most from Mike's storytelling is in the area of emotional interactions. There's some nice stuff with Liz and Abe in the first movie for instance that I think Mike would streamline right out of his comics.
Mike hardly ever delves into the emotions of his characters other than anger, perhaps because he's created a character of ultimate denial. But I love it when he does -- like when Hellboy talks to Kate about how he deals with all the weird stuff he's been told.

Great idea. Time to start sending those e-mails to Scott (Beloved Editor) Allie.
Tad? You humble, you. Mignola knows comics. Guillermo knows film.
And you, dear sir, know animation. All different forms of media that have
their owe needs. Hence my phobia before the first movie was made.
(don't worry, I got better :D ) Mignola was involved with Guillermo
and his involvement with you helps to ease a fanboys fears. After having
(finally) taken the time to study your website about the cartoon, well,
lets just say my brain itches with anticipation. Looks forward to more
cartoon related stuff.

You want an independent confirmation on that?
I'm working with a bunch of ex-disney guys, who tell me that Tad definitely knows animation.
Looking forward to seeing the end result.

Not to supersize Tad's ego even more, but I'm just glad that he's finally getting his due on this Messageboard! Great guy all around.

Thanks, Rick.
DarkWing Duck was a cross between Batman, The Shadow and Carl Barks'
Ducks done at Disney. Big Fun.
