I posted the first one in the wrong Universe. So I am reposting this one in the right universe....(I know ROOKIES) but any:o
I’ve been a big spider-man fan in the earlier years. I would love 4them to bring Kaine back into action. I like his ruthlessness and his warped abilities. Kaine vs Venom that the buisness....

If they bring back Kaine then they have to anknowledge that the clone saga happened. Something I now Marvel really wants to forget.

This is a shame, as Kaine is one of the elements I think is really salvageable from the clone saga. I was a huge Reilly fan, and even I admit bringing him back would be a mistake, but I think Kaine could be a great and unique recurring villain and/or anti-hero.

I always had a theory on how to bring back Kaine. First, the rejuvination pod he was thrown into after his "death" by Spidercide worked very very slowly. First it combated and haulted the degeneration process. The degeneration was...at the time...far enough along that Kaine's fingerprints and face changed quite a bit from Peter Parkers. With the medacine from the pod still corsing through his veins, Kaine's scars heal up and he looks like a normal, and actually somewhat handsome man. His bones and skin structure changed enough to not look like Peter...so on a tiny technical level he evolved from a clone into a different unique entity.
I'd like it if he'd found the Gwen Clone and married her. I have a story with that too, but I'm not sure folks would like what I've got in mind.
obviously Marvel adnits the clone storyline read spidergirl Kaine is a semi regular

That's hard, as it is cancelled. Or something.

You realised Kaine has already been brought back after being killed by Spidercide? His last appearance in 616 continuity was being hauled off to prison after turning himself in at the end of the Redemption mini-series.
There may have also been a cameo in a DeFalco Amazing issue afterwards, but I don't think it went anywhere.

I thought his last apperance was him tracking Osborn's agents to southern Europe and fighting some of them there.

I wouldn't mind seeing him again.

Kaine should be brought back. It would be interesting to see how he would react to finding out that Ben Reilly was a clone after all and that he was plaguing the wrong man for years.
Anyone else find it annoying that the clone saga or Ben Reilly are never mentioned anymore? Peter did consider him close enough to be his brother.

You're not the only one, trust me.
Though, I can't help feeling annoyed whenever the Clone Saga is mentioned, and people react to it as though it was the Second Halocaust or something.

I like it's become almost a joke in itself. I'm pretty sure for the most part people don't hate the storyline as much as they feel the need to tel people they hate the storyline.

I am aware that he appeared since his escape from the rejuvination pod. He was an unwilling participant in "The Great Game" and attacked the Scryers when they were smuggling "May" (Aunt or baby...can't be sure of which.)
My explaination was just to tell folks that Kaine was healing from his scars and disease slowly after being put in the rejuv pod. That helps explain why he was all scarred and messed up during the "game" saga and when he attacked the Scryers. When I would put Kaine back in the books, he would look like a normal man. Hopefully that makes more sense.

no need to bring kaine back or ben but bringing ben's costume back would be brilliant. it is such a great design, they should have kept it and yes i know why they didnt.

I'd like Kaine to make an appearance again... I think it sucks for Marvel not to acknowledge the Clone Saga, they don't have to return to it but at least admit it happened and show that era's characters once in a while, there were good characters then, like the Daily Grind bunch and Joystick, who's now in the T-Bolts...

Isn't he watching over baby May in Europe, and protecting peter's life from The Scriers?
My guess: Peter and Kaine would have to clash because the clone has no problem killing all of Spiderman's villains (and he can).

Isn't Kaine basically a Spider-Man who has no problem killing his enemies and is an uberbrick to boot? I think a character like that running around with ties to Peter could be interesting, but I don't know how Marvel could do it. Do readers have a knee-jerk reaction to ANYTHING Clone Sage related in the 616?
yeah, last I saw of Kaine was in Spider-Girl, and he acts a lot like the Punisher in the regard that he is so bloodlusty (not a word).
Edit: I don'f think Marvel wants to make too big a deal out of him, cause then it will force them to talk about the debacle that was the spider-clone storyline and with their movies doing so well, they don't want to get on a fan debate about that again.

I think Kaine is bound to appear again somewhere down the road.In fact i'm predicting the jackal, gwen stacy clone and Ben Reilly will all come back at some point ...even Spidercide!!!

It would be nice if Kaine became the new Scarlett Spider. Try to redeem himself as he had done near the end of the clone thing, and if he has any of the feelings Peter had for Gwen, and take some revenge on Osborne.

If anyone should kill Osborn, it should be Kaine. I know they're probably not going to try and kill him off anytime soon, but Kaine has to be the one to do him him in if they do it.

At this point, Peter is one event away from becoming Kaine. So, under current Marvel management you may get your wish.

I think Kaine was the best character to come from the clone saga, but it may not be worth bringing him back because that requires referencing the clone saga.
Still, I always thought it would be cool if had a symbiote, maybe even the Venom symbiote.
So Venom would truly be the Anti-Spider-Man.

Bendis takes cheapshots about the clone saga everynow and then when he writes New Avengers. I recall in one of the earlier issues someone was explaining something that Peter quickly retorted with "i have clones." That same line must have appeared at least 3-5 times since new avengers started.
And i agree with you, it already happened and you cant change the past unless you just send spidey into some ridiculous time loop and say it never happened. I dont want to hear about the clone saga anymore, but Kaine was the perfect antihero/villian. He was the real twisted version of Peter, something that was tried on Venom and Carnage and failed miserably. And someone mentioned that it would be interesting to see if Kaine went through changes like those from "The Other" i wonder too. Marvel can rape Gwen's image, and screw up Norman Osborn (a product of the clone saga) but they cannot at all ring Kaine back?
And another thing, how come Kaine was mentioned in the Marvel Knights title when Gargan called Peter? Wouldnt that mean they acknowledge the clone saga. And how come prior to The Other, they kept saying "something has hatched, could this be the return of Ben Reilly" in some of those stupid promo's? Doesnt that mean they acknowledge the clone saga?

DAMMIT i went through this whole bloody thread checking that no-one else had posted this idea and here you are on the last page! lol. I too think this would be really cool. Maybe the Symbiotes regenerative abilities could help Kaine become a little less physically deformed, and thus a slightly more mainstream character. And i agree, having a clone of Peter have the venom symbiote has a nice irony to it.

Brock will likely regain the Venom symbiote.
The Carnage symbiote, however, has need of a new host. And as Kaine is a "spawn" of Peter, having Carnage (a "spawn" of Venom) merge with him would be interesting.
Personaly i liked the character...he had different motivations for doing certain action (like protecting peter during his trial) which is un-common with spider-villans..
I think he will return at some point...probably when baby May is grown up or something similar. But yeah id be all up for bringing him back

wait, so in the 616 universe, is baby May still alive? I was never really clear on that.

Exactly. It wasn't.
Alan is right, it never was clear...but i think they left it that way in order to have possible ideas for storylines in the future. Maybe norman will get his hands on may and make her into a goblin..that was what sarah stacy was designed for..

It was the suit. He's actually unmaskd a few times and has normal skin, other than the deformed parts.

.....yes.
Kaine was cool! I liked his and Ben's rivalry, and his protectiveness of Peter.
I also like that arc where he fell in love with the policewoman and she betrayed him.
