Taking into account some of the images/comments in the final couple of issues of Infinite Crisis, it seems to me that one of the lasting effects of IC is that Superman once again started his superhero career as Superboy.

If this is the case, I was wondering if anyone can think up repercussions of this decision, aside from Superman's origin being revised. Here are some I thought of:

1/ Mon-El's origin could be tied in, once more, with Ka-El rather than Conner
2/ Superboy (Ka-El) might have been a member of the Legion again (the early years of the current Legion haven't been explored yet, as far as I am aware)
3/ Lana Lang/Insect Queen?
4/ Are Ma and Pa Kent still alive? Originally, they never lived to see Clark grow into a man.
5/ Smallville's tourist industry. Wow.

Anything else?

I'd like to see DC do something similar to the Smallville TV show, only it wouldn't become unwatchable after the first couple seasons. The adventures of Superman as a boy is just too cool an idea to let TV screw up. The comics should take the lead again and show them how it's done.

I think we'll see something similar to Secret Identity, with young Clark Kent doing good deeds (in costume) but not revealing his presense to the world. He'd be kind of like a legend.

At this point, nothing, except the Mon-el thing is needed. Maybe a Smallville comic, but I really don't want to see Superboy brought back at this point. The damage was done, and no amount of stuffing is going to get the worms back in the can. If they were going to return Superboy to continuity in that way, they should've just held off on the Legion re-boot, and gone back to old continuity!

I'm completely biased on everything on the list, so my opinion will probably will not hold much weight on the matter. Superboy, Adventure Comics, Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes and then The Legion of Super-Heroes are my all time favorite comics in any period, time, or decade. I'd probably stick in 80's The New Adventures of Superboy in there as well. I have been working on a complete run of Superboy for the last 25 years with 30 left to go. And probably my holy grail of comics would be More Fun Comics #101 which I'll never be able to afford. I'm also in the miniority on this website that Superboy should be the inspiration of the Legion.

1.) Again my favorite character, so I'm biased. So I really want Superboy #89 to be in continuity once again. Recently over LegionWorld their was a discussion between a fan of Mon-El and Dido at a con, when Dido asked what character that they want to be brought back. The fan said Mon-El. Dido wasn't very clear on the matter, but stated we'll see him, but probably not in a Legion book. Which isn't really a good sign for me. It would also mean a great deal for me to see Superboy, Ultra Boy, Mon-El banging against the iron curtain of Time once again, with only the Time Trapper to laugh at them.

2.) Again as I've stated before, Superboy should be the inspiration for the Legion. So it would bring a great deal of joy to me once again if he was in the Legion in his youth.

3.) Lana Lang as Insect Queen? Ok this one I want back too, but not just for Lana. It's Pete Ross(honorary Legion Member) and Jimmy Olson Elastic Lad (honorary member) as well. Recently over the past year reading the Ruin arc in Adventures of Superman brought back many bad feelings for me about Pete Ross, with Lana leaving of him becasue she loves Clark, the on again, off again divorce, with Lana. The Pete Ross whole hatred of Clark/Superman has really gotten tiresome for me over the past 20 years. I want Pete Ross to be the guy that saw Clark change in the tent, that vowed to keep his dying secret without even Clark knowing. I just want the boy's best friend.

4.) This one I kinda could care less about. I say keep them alive. So maybe I don't have to deal with Saturn Girl brainwashing Superboy each trip into the future if he ever found about their deaths. Again this allows for Superboy to be with the Legion.

5. I want the Welcome to Smallville Home of Superboy sign back.
