X-Poster of the Month: May 2006 Voting!

Which X-Books Forum poster over the course of the past month has been the best? Whether a knock-out single post, a string of good posts or just for injecting a healthy dose of verve into the daily X-Books forum proceedings and strengthening its community.

One poster. One vote. You register your opinion.

Just a reminder to everyone to keep the spirit of this award in mind when voting. Nominations should be for another poster who has actively posted in the X-Books Forum over the past month and has in some way added to, strengthened, or bettered the community.

The winner will get the (not) very fabled X-Poster of the Month signature to be proudly worn during the next month.

Voting concludes at Midnight EDT on May 31.

Uncle Nobs- not just for being an intelligent, thoughtful poster (though he is that), but for essentially coordinating the entire X-Cron weekend, even after it became clear he wouldn't be able to attend himself. For that, he rules, and I have every intention of making it to San Diego in 2007 to buy his drinks for an evening... totally worth it.

Syzygy and Zombienorthstar are two very notable newbies that made a big impact this month. I've enjoyed Syzygy's thoughtful posts, while ZNS's energy and positivity made this place loads of fun. I was tempted to vote for each of them.

But MAN! I cannot believe I'm not seeing more votes for jeangreydp!!

She made such a HUGE impact this month with her boundless enthusiasm for X3! She kept people's spirits up about it and dug up any spoilery stuff she could find. Plenty of presence in other threads too (which is surprising, considering her MASSIVE obsession with X3 before it opened). And when she was kinda disappointed with the film, she STILL contributed to all the discussions and kept a level head. Plus, she was the one who spurred on the whole NY trip, turning a casual comment between me and George into a full-blown, all-inclusive, master plan.

Quote of the month for me was easily: "OMG!! BLACK EYEBALLS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (...etc.)"

Yeah, yeah. Go ahead and accuse me of cronyism if you like, but her contribution this month has been undeniable. Liz / jeangreydp gets my vote by a mile. (Honorable mentions for Zombienorthstar & Syzygy.)

Instead of going into my theater to watch X3 with a tub filled with popcorn, it was a tub filled with Manny, my closest friend. We were both thrilled with action sequences and I asked him what the best parts of it were but he was just speechless and in awe.
