I will admit...while watching X3 and hearing Kelsey as the Beast exclaim "Oh my stars and garters" I Cheered! He SAID it!

Then i thought about it...and realized that alot of people, including myself have their own personal catchprashes.

For me..i have three i use alot:

First one i stole from the Tick "Ow! My SPLEEN!"

The second: "I'm too CUTE to hurt! =) "

The third: "AwesomePossums!"

So...the question of the day is...Whats YOUR Catchphrase? You ACTUALLY have to USE this in a SOCIAL context, not just come up with one right now...something you actually DO say.

So? Anyone game?

I also was fan of both Nova and Namor(and Namorita's) catchpharses in comics: "Blue Blazes!" and "Suffering Shad!"

They were just funny and yet cool at the same time.

But i'm weird and you all knew this...

I try to make an effort to say Holy Crap or Dumbass at least 3 times a day. I also like to say Frick too. It might replace Dumbass someday.

My current favorite is "Holyoke Massachucettes!"

"Your milage may vary."
Sure, on the internet it's as common as grass. But I use it all the time.

"That's a load of crap."
Unfortunately, these days I use this often enough for it to be a catchphrase.... :)

whenever I begin to procrastinate on anything I'll mutter two years until thirty. That never fails to get me off my ass.

If anyone tries to contradict something I'm saying, my latest favorite saying is...

"Suck it, (insert your last name here)!"
Example: "Suck it, Simone!"

I say it to CFT all the time. He seems to always try and defy my obviously all-powerful logic and wisdom. Silly, silly boy.

I also really enjoy saying it to my best friend whose last name is Blue.

I suppose when I have to go back to work this won't fly. For now, it is my closest substitute for all the swearing I'm trying to cut down on. :D

I like telling badguys, " Settle down, Tiger". It always makes the other cops laugh. And then the badguy usually gets really mad and tries to beat me up.

I've taken to working "dumbassity" in whenever I get the chance.

Considering the company you keep, I'm sure you "get the chance" a lot.

As for my catchphrases:

"Well, Crap on a Cracker" My mom has started saying this, now, which makes me laugh.

I know I have much more, but I'm drawing a blank. I'll get back to ya.

I seem to say the phrase "Have fun!" at least once a day.

I've been known to say things like:

Blatherin' Blatherskites!

Jiminy Christmas!

Rassafrassin'

Holy tamole!

Cool beans!

Thing is... A lot of these things are supposed to be profanity substitutes... And I'll admit I've been mad a time or two and I use these WITH profanity.

As in...

Rassafrassin motherf*cker!

What in the bloody blue g*dd*mn Hell are you going on about?

Aww... Sh*t. Criminy. F*ck, man.

Oh... And in general conversation?

I tend to reply to questions with:

"Understandable!"

"Right on..."

and

"Cool beans!"

*coughs*

"Ok, but at least I'm Lawful Evil."
"Why do you think I want to torture you?"
"I haven't killed anyone." (The standerd reply "Yet.")

Metamorpho also used "Blue Blazes" in the 60s.

Oh, and I like saying "reminds me of my wedding night!" or "I haven't heard that since my wedding night" when people least expect it.

Is that a German idiom or is it really THAT random...?

I picked it up from David Letterman, actually.
Say my colleague is trying to assemble some shelves, and IKEA put the wrong board in the box again. He says "I can't believe it's too big!" and I use my catchphrase.

A friend of mine uses this one:

I could be wrong and that would be a terrible tragedy...

I've used Scatsamagoza! from Greg the Bunny a few times.
Yet, the good ol' Fucktard still holds strong in my vocabulary.

When discussing comics at the LCS, I use my sig, "But, I like Devil Dinosaur. What do I know from good?"

I call my nephews, my girlfriend's daughters, and my friends' children "tooter-heads".

I also use "What, me worry?" a lot.

I thought for sure Az would say, 'Love, Peace and Chicken Grease'.

Unfortunately I seem to use 'crap' more often than lady should. I go back and forth between 'holy crap' and 'oh crap'.

or "Hokey Smokes, Bullwinkle!"
I blame Jay Ward.

"Because I'm your mother and I said so."

Why do mothers say this?

Because it works.

I like to say "p00p attack". Probably more than anyone should.

I tend to find any catchphrase that a professional wrestler says hilarious, and often times adopt it as my own.

I used to have two catchphrases I used all the time. One was whenever my friends would say something disturbing or disgusting in some way I would stick my fingers in my ears and go "Lalala...I'm in my happy place," and the other was when someone got a good burn on my I would reach my hands towards them as if I was going to throttle them and say, "CAN'T REACH!!!!" I haven't used them in a while...actually I used the happy place one a couple months ago when I was visiting my old friends.

No you're supposed to say:

"Why do mothers say this?"

"Because we said so!"
;)
