Unlikely or Unusual X-Men Pairings -- Who'd you like to see?

Not necessarily in a romantic sense, but which X-characters would you like to see interact AND WHY? Which X-Men can you not recall sharing much, if any, panel time?


I was watching X-Men: Evolution Season 3 last night and there were a few scenes in which Shadowcat and Iceman interacted. And for the life of me I can't remember any significant interaction between the two in the comics. I think they'd make an interesting set of friends, and possibly an interesting couple.

After reading Ultimate X-Men I always liked the idea of Cyclops and Wanda Maximoff. But like that's going to happen.

Always liked the idea of Cyclops an Rogue also.That's another one I got from XME. There were hints that Rogue was crushing on Scott. But in the comics, while they've been on the same team, there's never really been any sense of friendship. Scott's always just been her boss more or less.

Rogue and another female, hinting on the whole she absorbs males memories so...well you know...(romantic one this one).

Maybe have some of the X-forcers actually hang with the X-men...for X-characters not many of them have actually been arround many X-men for long.

I'd love for a friendship between Colossus and Bishop to form. Both have suffered huge losses to friends and family members. Both are isolated by their unique experiences. Both are deeper wells than they outwardly appear.

The best unique pairings so far this year have been X-23 and Psylocke and Psylocke and Rachel. Both well done!

Because, especially if written by Whedon, Jono reminds me of kinda like a combination of Spike and Angel and Kitty's Buffy. It'll be fun to see.

Psylocke and Northstar- I think they both have a dry humour and id like to see them riff off eacother in a 'Will and Grace with superpowers' kind of way

Iceman and Cannonball- theyve both played the rookie, both have more power than they let on and always make jokes, id like to see bobby play an older brother as an alternative to the strict Cable father figure.

Husk, Rachel and Kitty- id like Husk to join this already pre-exsisting clique i think she could play the young naive girl finally becoming a woman role to Rachel and Kittys pre-established party girl attitudes.

Marrow and Chamber- If they had still been powered

Psylocke and Beast- we saw real sweetness and flirtyiness in their relationship in X-treme X-Men...she could love Dr McCoy and it could provide conflict with warren.

Lifegaurd and Adam X- just to get them both booktime.

In a team sense, the upcoming lineup on X-Men is about as unusual as i've ever seen (Sabretooth, Iceman, Cannonball, Cable, Rogue, and Mystique). It's got me interested, though.

I like seeing Beast with ANYBODY. He's got the charisma and they hardly showcase his sexuality in the comics. They show him as a refined, educated, and dedicated person often in the background and deferring to his teamates. He always seems kinda repressed due to his dedication to all his responsibilities. Or too classy, going to opras and reading all the time. With someone with all that on his his shoulders all the time, you KNOW someone with that much reserve has to be a total stallion in the sack.

Also, I'd like to see Domino and Wolverine get together again. They were written with excellent chemistry together in the annual.

Hmmm... Hanks an odd duck. Much as he has a lot of appreciation for classics, I do believe he also dislpays an appreciation for more "low brow" entertainment.

So any long term relationship should probably be with someone that loves one but can appreciate the other.

Though, really, why limit Hank to the mutant world? Through the Avengers he's well aquanted with most of the superhumans on the planet. Assumign the need to pair him up with an existing superhuman character.

For some reason I like that pairing. Amara needs to get away from that spooky Empath dude and she seems like she would like Bobby IMO. I dunno, maybe she would like his lame jokes and everything. I don't know enough about Amara's love life other than Empath so......anyways....

The fire/ice thing is always an interesting combination!!:D

I want Dazzler and Northstar to be friends. I mean he most likely has her albums (horrible stereotype but sadly most likely true) and they both can be catty at times. I think they would have a good time together, plus I like both characters and just want them to be friends. ha ha.
Another fun pairing in my mind would be Magma and Polaris. Both have had really messed up personal histories and have been defined by the men in thier lives a whole lot. That and they both have had thier emotions or personalities overridden by outside forces. I could see them swapping stories and just becoming friends. Plus Lorna needs some female friends. I don't think I can recall any female cast member she has ever been really close with. I mean someone will say Jean and I will have to ask why, when were they shown to be really close? There is a little evidence but not enough to make me think they were best buds or anything.
