Yeehaw!
Picked this one up earlier today. Fun book, some great little funny stuff, such as Ramona's hammer (+2 vs Girls), Scott trying tell about his past relationship with Kim, Honest Eds!, Vegan Police, Scott trying to use Chi to dry himself off, there was just too much fun stuff!
As always it mixed some great flashbacks (this time of Scott & Envy's past relationship) with the current story, and has some nice little moments. Am I right n thinking that Envy leaves wearing the sweater that Kim gave Scott?
Anyways good zany stuff. Highly recommended. I could give a synopsis, but I really don't want to be too spoilery to those who haven't read it.

And there was much rejoicing.
I'm currently in the middle of reading it. So far, it rocks.

Completely awesome -- I enjoyed it more than volume 2.
Ramona and her hammer were awesome, and the scene between Scott and Knives was really sweet. And the bit about Honest Ed's is completely true. (I love seeing all the real places I go to every week - Honest Ed's, Lee's Palace, the Pizza Pizza across the street...)

I love this comic oh so much I loves it good! Hell I've already read the book 3 times now, I ran right through it enjoying the majesty that is new Scott Pilgrim the secound I got home on Wed.
I did like how even though Envy was the antagonist in this volume she was fully characterised. We get how her and Scott started dating, a good amount of their moments and the most heartwarming rendition of her history with Todd. I really was split when she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her. Part of me was saying she deserved it being such a bitch to Scott and the cast, yet thanks to the history lesson and all the characterising she got I felt bad for her. Hell this volume really seemed to be the one where we got more into caring about everyone. Knives didn't seem so f*cking obnoxious or at least she seems to be mroe human again. I know the last volume had her being all sad about Scott breaking up to her (and I did feel bad for her) but I think I got too distracted from that on her going on and on about how great Scott still was and Rammy (I love that nick name :) ) was the evil bitch. I don't know if that makes sense, but she seemed more human this time and less a plot device I guess.
And am I alone in thinking that Scott and Kim's relationship will be more important in a future volume? They keep citing it in the book I think something may come out of it, but who knows.
And my biggest question is.... why aren't more people talking about this great book?

Read it yesterday evening and boy was it great! So much fun, so much action, so much drama. The Vegan Police and the "1-Up" ga ruled!
Absolutely awesome. Too bad that we have to wait another year for the next volume but it's well worth the wait. :)
One of the best comics I read in a LOOOONG while!

I'm feeling the same thing. I think his friend Lisa at the same school will show up at some point too. I found it pretty funny how Scott's meeting with her and with Wallace were so similar.

I found the simularities funny too. Maybe it shows how lazy Scott it? Or maybe that the important people in his life usually force themselves onto him? Think force is too harsh of a word, but in both cases they were the ones instigating everything while Scott was just being Scott.
I do wonder what Lisa has been up to since the high school. And did it seem like she had a thing for Scott too? I know that's more a book 2 question, but well discussion on this thread is far from big.
Oh and bringing up random questions, in the Free Scott Pilgrim, Ramona says something along the lines that Scott has to learn how to hit women sometime. So am I just over analysing that by thinking maybe one of her ex boyfriends is a girl? Or is it more Scott in the video game fight world he lives in needs to be able to fight ninja women who attack him?

Finally got my copy of this. Seems like it took forever. I sat today and read the whole thing in one sitting (as I always do with these books). Great stuff.

I loved it. The hostile takeover within Clash and the Boys was probably my favorite part, but the little "cry for help" arrow concerning Kim's social life was pretty sublime as well.

You know I kind of thought the first book was a little too cool for school but I gave the second and third book a chance I have to admit this is a fun little book. Especially since the second and third books completly embraced the odd ball manga and video game influences.
