Hey guys,
I couldnt wait for the new series to begin and recently got Issue #1 and its variant cover off an ebay shop. However, the comics are in immaculate condition and I dont want to read them with the fear of damaging them.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any scans on the internet or where I can pick it up as it is sold out everywhere I have been.

Be sure to keep them next to that stack of Spawn #1s that are going to be worth soooo much $$$

Aw c'mon this is just silly, just read it man.

All you have to do is take care of it (which I always do) and if you want to go the extra mile wear like...latex gloves or something (lol).

Well read the ones you have. But be careful, like don't put it in your bag in the rain, cos the water'll get in and mangle it. Don't leave them on the floor so that you step on it and rip it.
And don't put it next to some hot chocolate.

I don't really like the idea of buying comics just to make some money off them.
But each to their own I guess .

Just read the issues, IMO. I doubt anything will be worth much money in the future, as series are relaunched with new "First Issue!" labels and printed by the thousands. But of course, I guess that's what they said back in 1963, but who knows? It's not even that great of a series (isn't it a mini series?) to be a collectors item. It's bagged and boarded, I presume, but you can read it if you're careful.

Yeah. It's Wolverine, so they printed about a million copies of each. 15 years from now, it'll be worth about what X-Men (vol. 2) #1 is worth now: cover price. Just read one of the ones you have.

My sentiments exactly. The story is going nowhere and the artwork while it's nice really doesn't fit a Wolverine story. Make mine Marvel my ass!!!

Is this title good? How does it compare to Wolverine's main title?

Good Lord. ANYTHING PRINTED AFTER THE EARLY '80S WILL NEVER BE WORTH ANYTHING. Buy comics to read them, not for any other reason.

I must say, that I HATE the published Origin of Wolverine! This is one time that I wish Byrne had been able to do it! I think his, "He's the son of the High Evolutionary..." is the best and most interesting!

That's so true. I'm trying to track down the Uncanny X-Men and the 80's stuff goes $15, $10, $8, $20, $16... then the 90's hit and they're all about $3.

Buy the comic to enjoy it. If you want to make money off them in the future, you're better off in the stock market.

You say that now but you'll be sorry when I'm 70 and all the silver and bronze agers have gone the way of the dodo.

whys it worthless now...

Because it turns out Cable really isn't all that. He used to be so mega-popular you could write 22 pages of him pinching a loaf in the woods and it'd sell... not so much anymore. So his first appearance isn't sought out, and thus isn't worth beans. No demand = surplus supply = low price.

Likewise, Exiles is a great book, but it's been years since it was really a "buzz book," and the original writer is long gone and it's not a top seller anymore. It's not like it was severely underprinted when it debuted, so there should be plenty of copies left for people who want to read it in the future.

(Not to mention the increasing availability of TPBs right after storylines finish has made finding the individual issues much less important these days.)
