Is Black Mask Alive?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but in Man Bat #2 black mask is in it talking about being killed by Catwoman. Does this mean that he is back (I hope so.) or is this some pre-one-year-later. Does anyone know?

naw hes back, i just read the issue... so its brawl between murmur... hush.. and black mask... so yea... with the catwoman arc wrapping up with the police apparently finding black masks killer... wah the hell is goin on?! i really hope he dies by the end of this series... i was never a big fan of this guy....

I think the black mask, at least as written by brubaker, pfieffer and winnick made for a pretty entertaining villain - on the other hand his (two) death(s) at selena's hands was a fitting capstone to their relationship, one I wish they had let be (both times).

I think that the Man-Bat mini is one year ago. Black Mask could be referring to the previous time (during "Relentless") where it looked like Catwoman killed him but was revealed to be alive in "War Games."

You are 100% correct. The fact that that Comissioner Atkins is in Man-Bat #2 is evidence of this.

yeah winnick did write an interesting black mask, my only problem is his usual die and come back thing is become excessive... yeah i just noticed atkins, thank goodness for the fact this not one year later~ Itll be interesting now that it clears up the excess of Hush not being controlled down by joker... and i suppose if the series is written well Hush could make a come back... (*cough cough*)

Yeah, this is definitely before Infinite Crisis. Considering they've made it so Hush is "gone" for now, and Atkins is Commissioner.

I sincerely hope this mini takes place in the past. I hate Black Mask with a fiery vengeance.
