Ok this may sound nuts but I really enjoyed the tv Hulk. I dont mean the tv show. I mean the fact that he was not larger that life. Just a big guy who is Superstong and stuff. No a larger that life 10 foot tall monster who will crush verything in its path.
Am I nuts like my buddy claims. Or was this a cool Hulk.

How can you not like a green Lou Ferrigno?

It may sound childish but, when I first seen the Hulk tv show I told myself I want to be built like the Hulk. Lou Ferrigno is the best Hulk.

Growing up, I loved that show. I remember I would camp out on Friday nights and watch the Hulk show, followed by Dukes of Hazzard.

I liked it too, but I think the comic would be kind of boring after a while if all he ever did was pick up petty criminals by the shirt collar and throw them across a room.

TV show(lou) > Movie(CGI)
I liked lou as the hulk also, the CGI hulk was too overdone IMO

That show was great, and it aged well. Except for rare moments it was never campy or silly. It was an interesting drama, with an exciting sci-fi action edge.
I wish the comics were more like that sometimes.

I loved this series. Let's face it - NO CGI effect is ever going to be as thrilling as a freakin huge 7' dude painted green and smashing crap all over the screen. But I think a lot of the popularity of the show was also due to Bill Bixby's very likeable, sensitive portrayal of David Banner. Eric Bana can't fill those shoes.
While they did some great effects in the movie, I always thought the best way to portray the Hulk was to get Lou Ferrigno back there, and use some old fashioned camera-tricks and judicious application of CGI to achieve a character that connected better to the audience.

You may in fact be nuts Spideyrules99. But, that dosent change the fact that the Hulk tv show was awesome. Not every episode, but there was some really good writing & acting in there.

Actually it was the Dukes at 8, followed by the Hulk at 9. :)
And we always had to go to bed at 10, when Dallas was coming on (I never saw it beyond the opening credits).
CBS' Friday night lineup was the place to be for me in the late 70s-early 80s.

I dont think that Hulk would be to boring on a comic. See a down played down to earth Hulk. He is a badass but not such an Abomb. I would have no probelm reading him in a comic.

If you liked Lou in Hulk, pickup the 25th aniversarry edition of "Pumping Iron" on dvd. Great view into his life at the time (or slightly before it).
There's also a dvd-extra portion with a reunion of all the power lifters from that year's competition including Arnold. Lou is the only one who is still HUGE. The others look twice their age, one guy's in a wheelchair. It's actuallly kind of sad, but Lou looks great.

Well, i think the tv-series was ok even if they couldnt aford to have supervillians or something like that.
The show made Hulk known to all here in Sweden, even my mum know who Hulk is :D
The movies was not that good like the one with a black costume Dardevil, i remember i was very annoyed that his costume was black instead of red, Daredevil had his own comic book here those days.

I loved this show when I was young. I used to feel sorry for Banner. I thought it was sad that every episode would end with him walking the highway, looking for a place to live in peace.
