I've mentioned in previous posts, I stopped collecting in the mid-80s, but I still pick up the occassional trade here and there. Batman was always my favorite, so I tend to gravitate to his stories.

I've always been curious about this whole Knightfall thing, so recently I tried to get the trades on ebay. I kept getting outbid, so I sort of gave up. Then, last week, I won the complete run of Knightfall in great condition for 99 cents (can't beat that with a hammer).

Here's the deal - I thought that was it. 18 parts, I figured, was the whole story. I forgot about Knightsend and Knightsquest.

So here's my question - is it worth tracking down parts 2 and 3 of this saga? I read the first 3 or 4 issues last night and so far they're pretty good (although I always found it cringe-worthy when artists tried to incorporate hair styles & fashion of the day. You really want to date a book? Throw a pony tail and a mullet in there)

I have all of Knightfall, Knightquest: The Crusade, Knightquest: The Search and Knightsend in original singles and I would advise you to skip Knightquest altogether.
Knightfall was pretty good and Knightsend was a good wrap-up to the whole thing but Knightquest was just a waste of time IMO.
Bad stories, bad art, fashion-of-the-day (as you already mentioned), just bad bad bad. Seemed like the boys at D.C were just filling time before they could get rid of Azbats and bring Bruce back properly.
You would be better off reading Knightfall, Knightsend and then the story that immediately followed Knightsend which was Prodigal, where Dick Grayson became Batman while Bruce took care of some unfinished business.
I'm pretty sure that Knightsend and Prodigal are both available in tpb. (and now that I think about it, Knightquest isnt. What does that tell us?).

This reply is in response to your thread title, all I have to say is ,"I feel you brother." I try and stay away from the comic addiction but every now and again it starts again......*sigh* whata ya gonna do.:o
