Ok i have been presented the opportunity to buy for a relatively cheap price a full run of nightwing 1-current and robin 1-current. Its one or the other because as much as I'd like to buy both of the sets I can't afford both at this present moment and time.

So what one would you go for? strictly based on writing quality and not value for money or number of issues.

Thanks

Nightwing... though, neither is really hard to find.

Oh I know, I am just trying to get a general idea of what one is the better read.

Nightwing is the better read IMO. I began collecting Robin but after awhile I did not get excited about the direction the character was going...which appeared nowhere. It may have changed I don't really know.

I have always collected Nightwing which I think is a cool character with alot of potential in the right storyline.

Buy the Robin series, if the price is the same, because you can get most of the good Nightwing issues in trades.

As long as you find the Dixon issues, I'd say both are excellent. I was a bit more into Nightwing though. Got that series from issue 1. Plus with McDaniel on art, I think it's just a great book. As I've said, it's no high art, but it's a damn good book.

Nightwing all the way. Its just a better book all around than Robin.

I like both series, but I'm gonna say Nightwing. I liked the stories better, and you've got some great artists in Scott McDaniel & Greg Land. The Grayson issues aren't totally without merit, but there's definitely some stinkers in there.
