 Ive got a real soft spot for Bronze age Marvel its what I remember from when I was a kid, and especialy for the FF. They were my favorites along side the Hulk that being the case I did a very bad thing! I went browsing around on ebay and wound up buying these:

Provided I do get everything delivered without a hitch, do you think this was a fair deal? Damn I am so impulsive!!

If you paid like $1 a book or something i don't think you losed much money anyway.
What i see is that many of them is in lower grades, but then again you don't paid so much and i guess you bought them to read not to collect.

You paid about $1 an issue so i really cant see anything wrong with that.

I don't know about the later Hulk issues, but $1.00 an issue for those FF issues isn't bad. Those sort of "generic bronze age Marvel" comics can sometimes be found for less (50c or 25c an issue) if you poke around and are patient, but I've paid $1 an issue for similar runs where I wanted to have it sooner rather than later.

You can probably sell the FF issues individually for more'n a buck a piece. So you did fine.

Incidentally, the Bruce Jones Hulk is my favorite take on the character ever, especially with the brilliant Kaare Andrews covers.

Look, the main thing is, you bought something you like.

If these books bring back pleasant memories of your childhood, then they are priceless.

Each of those FF issues cost you considerably less than a current comic. Even if the shape is not as good as a near mint book off the stands you did well. That run you picked up is pretty dandy in my eyes. Perez art, Galactus, Impossible Man, Reed loses his powers, Thing's exo-skeleton, and many other sweet things. I don't know, but there is no way I could have picked up those 70's books for less than a buck in any of my local comic shops. Well done I say.

I'm with, ROK. If you enjoy them then you did fine.

I'm not a collector, so anytime I can get a complete (or close to complete) run for around a buck a book I consider it a really good deal.

Thats great to hear guys. Its unfamiliar territory for me,this buying issues from way back, since Ive just started purchasing back issues, all the other times Ive collected I usualy bought fairly new books. However browzing ebay is going to definitely get me into trouble, I just passed up a 232 issue collection of iron man with some runs going 40-50 issues without a gap,all books bagged and boarded............the winning bidder paid........*ulp*:o ...$68 plus $16 shipping. My wife was staring at me at the time, watching the sweat beads form on my forehead, with that look on her face that says "didnt you just order something!?"

It's probably just as well that you didn't order it. I think there were far less than 232 good issues of Iron Man.

I think you're gonna have a hell of a good time reading those 70s FF. And the Bruce Jones' Hulks, as Reptisaurus noted, would have been worth owning for the spectacular covers alone.

Not a fan of the last items from Peter David's most recent Hulk run.
