Just wondering... is Batman still referred to as "The Caped Crusader" from time to time, or has this become yet another victim of political correctness run amok?

I had to think about it for a few seconds to even figure out why anyone might object to "Caped Crusader" on the grounds of political correctness. :)

But I'm afraid I have no idea what the answer is to your question. Until OYL started, I'd been largely ignoring the regular Bat-titles for the last couple of years. Judd Winnick could have had someone calling him "Caped Crusader" in every issue of his run and I wouldn't know the difference.

I thought the term 'caped crusader' was attributed to the silly tv show. Which is why it is no long in use.

Bingo! That was pretty much my impression as well.

I just thought it predated the show. I'm probably wrong.

I can understand if it was used a lot in the tv-series, it destroyed Batman for dozzens of years after, and still is:D
