It's going to be another expensive month and length Marvel Previews checklist for me. Coming in August:

MARVEL ZOMBIES HC

NEXTWAVE: AGENTS OF H.A.T.E. VOL. 1 – THIS IS WHAT THEY WANT PREMIERE HC
144 PGS./Parental Advisory ...$19.99

(Ellis must be tickled pink to have that phrase as the title of a book at Marvel.)

SPIDER-MAN: KRAVEN’S LAST HUNT PREMIERE HC
160 PGS./Rated T+ ...$19.99

SPIDER-WOMAN: ORIGIN PREMIERE HC
128 PGS./Rated T+ ...$19.99

ULTIMATE X-MEN VOL. 6 HC
256 PGS./Rated T+ ...$29.99

And time for a little controversy:

DAREDEVIL VOL. 1 HC – NEW PRINTING

No, I won't be buying it again, but I'd like to own it. Ah, well.

And the trades:

ULTIMATE GALACTUS BOOK 3: EXTINCTION TPB
120 PGS./Rated T+ ...$12.99

I'm debating on this. Might they package all three mini-series together into one giant hardcover at some point?

SENTRY: REBORN TPB
184 PGS./Rated T+ ...$21.99

I'm shocked this isn't a hardcover. SHOCKED. Marvel loves JR JR's work. Did the series not sell terribly well?

SPIDER-MAN VISIONARIES: KURT BUSIEK VOL. 1 TPB
Written by KURT BUSIEK
Penciled by PAT OLLIFFE
Collects UNTOLD TALES OF SPIDER-MAN #1-8.
176 PGS./Rated A ...$19.99

Great series, but I'm not sure I need to buy it again. I've got plenty of other new reading material above.

Just the Zombies for me. I have the rest already. ;)

Most of this stuff is greek to me b/c of my now years without Marvels - but is Kraven's Last Hunt the REAL Kraven's Last Hunt? The DeMattias/Zeck one? I'd buy that in a hardcover. But I'm assuming this is some recent sequel or something??

Nope, that's REAL one baby! I'd buy it, but ("sigh") I already have it in 3 seperate formats: issues, sc, and the 1st print HC.

But it's my fave Spidey story, so I no care. :) They should throw in "Soul of the Hunter" in there too dammit!

Murray - What Jamie said. What's so odd about the timing is that it was a discussion topic on Dave's Long Box (http://daveslongbox.blogspot.com/) blog a couple of months ago. And it was at about that time that word leaked out it was coming. (No, I'm not suggesting cause-and-affect here, just coincidence.)

I read the story once more than a decade ago, off a friend's borrowed copy. I look forward to reading it today with more mature eyes as a copy of my own.

Most of the rest of the stuff I haven't read yet. I waited for a collection on Zombies, Ultimate X-Men, Spider-Woman: Origin, Ultimate Galactus, and Sentry. I'm doing pretty good like that. =)

Wow. I don't think I've read "Kraven's Last Hunt" since it was published. That is a Must-Buy for me.

The other Must-Buy for me is the Spider-Man Visionaries: Kurt Busiek vol. 1 TP. I only got the first two issues when this series was orignally published and I loved them both. I'm thrilled with this one.

I'll also probably order Sentry, Spider-Woman, Nextwave, and Ult. Galactus, since I decided to Wait-for-Trade on three of the four. Though it's the two above are the ones I'm really excited about. I'd be a utter and complete liar if I said I wasn't interested in the DD HC, but that will have to be a firm "No, thank you."

They might, but I gotta say, my love for Ellis notwithstanding, that I don't feel it is worth it.

MARVEL ZOMBIES HC

I'm pretty selective with my HC purchases so I'm going to hold out for the TPB.

NEXTWAVE: AGENTS OF H.A.T.E. VOL. 1 – THIS IS WHAT THEY WANT PREMIERE HC
144 PGS./Parental Advisory ...$19.99
I'm looking forward to reading this, but I'm going to wait for the trade.

SPIDER-MAN: KRAVEN’S LAST HUNT PREMIERE HC
160 PGS./Rated T+ ...$19.99
These were the first Spider-man issues that I ever bought but I'm pretty happy with my single issues.

SPIDER-MAN VISIONARIES: KURT BUSIEK VOL. 1 TPB
Written by KURT BUSIEK
Penciled by PAT OLLIFFE
Collects UNTOLD TALES OF SPIDER-MAN #1-8.

This was a good series - the only Spidey book I was getting during the last 12~18 months of the clone saga. It's crazy to think that the price point for the single issues were $0.99 at the time this series was being published, but if you reprint them in a Trade in 2006, Marvel can charge you an extra $12! I wonder if there are going to be extras or just the single issues?
