Batman's stupid bastard child with Talia. Yay.

I honestley don't give a s%#&. I read Batman for Batman not his lame hanger on characters.
Actually it would be kind of cool if Batman had a little kid hanginging around for him to take careof. It would show a more caring side of him and he would have to juggle crime fighting with fatherhood. He would have daytime responsibilities and nighttime crime fighting duties....
..... But, if the new son of Batman is a hyperaged superninja with father issues,I could care less.

Looks that way to me. And I'm not thrilled at the prospect either.

No. an actual child. You know the kind you make sure goes to school eats it's vedgtables, goes to school, has soccer practice and or you tell a bed time story too. A kid not a sidekick. I'm thinking DC comic time the child of Talia and Bruce would be 5-7, not a crimefighter.

But who's brat is that really. Plus that child would'nt be the publicly part of Bruce Wayne's life, if it was his. I'm just saying because all this crap rumors being thrown around sorounding Grant Morrison's storyline and it's connection to the GN called Son of The Demon.
Is'nt it fun speculating on storylines that won't see print or a conclusion until 4 to 6 months.

Please, Bruce was away for year! No way is he the baby's daddy. Catwoman boned someone else.

Who's to say Selina didn't join him in Europe? She did kill Black Mask and probably went on the run.
Don't be a hater. Bruce+Selina FOREVER!

I think Bruce and Selina is a given. I mean, we're told that the new world resembles E2, and then we're shown Selina with a baby Helina - the same name that was given to Bruce and Selina's baby in E2. It doesn't take the world's greatest detective to work that one out ;)

No thanks...Bruce and Selina together is a big reason why I like both characters. So if I can't discuss that, then I can't discuss the comics. If I can't discuss the comics, the message boards become mundane.
...okay, the post isn't here anymore...

Well Tim was an actual Child when he first met Bats wasnt he? I assume that if the new person actually is a kid, then Alfred would just take care of him the same way he took care of Tim's non-vigilante needs (ie: school, food, attention, etc).

Tim and Dick. They said they went around the world to train and get closer together. No one mentioned that Selina went along for the ride.

Yeah, but it's still entirely possible that their paths crossed at the 3 month mark. It just requires them to have been at the same place.
Bruce lists Selina as one of the people he cares about in one of the issues of Face the Face, could be a hint.

Well that would be rather boring would'nt it? I'm getting the felling whoever the new member of the bat family is, that it really is not going to effect the status quo.

why do you want to see bruce and selina together? i admit, it's a fun idea to play with in stories, good for some sparks and runs here and there...but I don't think any story is well-served by them being "together forever OMG kiss kiss wuf wuv."
if anything, it strikes me as a Sam/Diane conundrum--sure, they're great when they're apart and the sparks fly, but the second they become an "item," they instantly both become less interesting.

Sure, but chances are that that's what will happen. Anything that seems to affect anything in the Bat-universe seems to be forgotten six issues later when the next team comes along so this whole story will prolly end up as a big gimmick.

Because we haven't gotten to that point in the story yet. Selina would have shown up three months into their gay romp through Europe, as a pregnancy lasts nine months, not a year.

I disagree. When couples finally get together, that's a big payoff for readers. If the writer can't keep it interesting, that's his/her fault.

Yep, that's a good point you bring up. Selina and Bruce only needed one night together to get pregnant, so it's not as if she had to stay with Bruce and the boys on their journey. Maybe there was some "One night in Paris" thing...perhaps she was there doing her own soulsearching, ran into Bruce in a museum or something, they went back to her hotel, things got a little hot and heavy, Bruce wakes up in the morning, and Selina's already hopped on a plane back to Gotham. Meanwhile, Bruce continues on with Dick and Tim.

Guess you have to wait until week 13 (or thereabouts, these things aren't scientific) of 52 to find out.

well, i guess there's a payoff for readers who wanted to see them together in the end...everyone else sorta gets left out in the cold.
you're somewhat right re: the writer keeping it interesting, but I just see the potential story opportunities brought about by, say, a bruce/selina wedding being either ignored or burned through very quickly, leaving them precious little to work with. plus, honestly, how long do you think it would take them to complicate the relationship in some way, thus killing the point of marrying them in the first place?
i just don't buy bruce and selina as star-crossed lovers destined to be together. it's an interesting pairing, but then, so was bruce and vesper fairchild, or bruce and sasha. unlike, say, superman and lois lane, i don't think bruce/batman has a major female foil, and I like that. it gives us variety. if you want a stable superhero relationship, read the superman books.

U think someone as rich as bruce would be alittle more careful over who gets involved with and especially impregnates.

I see Bruce quoting Jerry McGuire to Selina:
"We live in a cynical world. A cynical world. And we work in a business of tough competitors. I love you. You... complete me. "
Selina looks deep in his eyes, plants a long wet kiss on him, and tells him he had her at hello.
Call me a hopeless romantic...

You make it sound as if that really going to happen during 52. We don't know what is going to happen. I guess is that Slam (Is that his name?) is Catwoman's baby daddy. She slept with him a couple of times. Just as long it's not Bruce I'm fine with it.

It's not Slam's. Do you even read Catwoman? If you did, you'd know he's been ruled out as the father.
And I hate to break it to you, but Bruce and Selina had little Helena on Earth-2. It's part of the Bat-mythos. And with Geoff Johns being one of the architects of the new DCU, and a Brulina fan, I'll bet my soul that Bruce is the father of the baby.

No, I don't read Catwoman and the Earth-2 history was erased by a little thing I call Crisis on Infinite Earths. I seriously doubt Bruce is the father of Catwoman's kid. Is the kid's name all you have to go on? I'll give this father thing a wait and see.

Not exactly. It was originally part of the bat-canon, then it was removed from canon; now it's canonical again. Evidently because "can-do-no-wrong" Morrison wanted it to be so.

Two words: New Earth. Anything is possible. Perhaps Earth-2 Catwoman and Batman's histories have combined with Post-COIE Catwoman and Batman's histories.
