Hey everyone. I have a problem. My comic shop is closing in the very near future and I live at least an hour to another one so I was thinking about getting my books shipped to me. Now I have heard some horror stories about subscription services from the labels but not alot of feedback from the web stores. Incidentally, has anyone ever used Discount Comic Book Services? They seem legit and I found them through a thread on this forum but would feel better if someone could give me any insight about them. Thanks in advance.

I have and had zero problems with them. Their prices are second to none. One of the best IMO.
Some other choices:

I use them and so far they have been great. And as you say the prices are great. I think my cost has been about $1.85 per issue, including shipping. I feel like I'm in the 80's again!

I have no problems and order all my comics from them. I get more comis for cheap. First issues are like 75 cents and most comics are 1.79

I've used DCB on and off for about one year and have had no problems with their service. Even their email replies are hard-pressed to take longer than a day to receive.
I used to order from Mailordercomics, back when they were called Collector's Corner, but DCB's discounts are just massive. It's the only reason I've ordered every Absolute Edition I can get my hands on, and their prices on trade paperbacks are equally generous.
The other good thing I haven't seen mentioned is you can typically place orders a month or so late, and still get the same discounts you would get if you ordered on time.
I actually took a break from comics for the last two months, and have been using Dreamland Comics for their 'subscription' service. You basically fill out a 'pull sheet' as you would at a local comic shop, and they start pulling your comics for you the following week, with a discount comparable to DCB's, but not as substantial, particularly for hardcovers and tpbs. I'll stay with them through the end of this month, and then switch back to DCB (I've got to send my April order in sometime this week).
