I am not a scholar regarding the DCU, but I know the basics and such...
My question:The villain in IC...the one everyone calls Superboy prime...
Is that the same Superboy from pre-Crisis?
Is this the young Super youngster that had his own book and his book with the Legion?
Thankls a lot (and sorry if this has been asked before)

Superboy-Prime is the character who showed up in CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #12 to help fight the Anti-Monitor. He claimed to be the sole survivor of Earth-Prime. This is not the Pre-Crisis Superboy who joined the Legion.

Superboy Prime showed up in Crisis On Infinite Earths #10 when his universe was consumed by anti-matter.

And a few months prior to that, Superboy Prime debuted in an issue of DC COMICS PRESENTS that detailed his origins in the Earth-Prime universe (a universe that originally had no superheroes) and his encounter with the Earth-One Superman (who had been the original Superboy in his youth).

Earth Prime was supposed to be OUR Earth, the real one where there are no superhero's. They were only read about in comic books, and discussed on forums, such as this one.

Yeah, the fact that Earth Prime was "us" was a fact that was made clear (and somewhat funny) when Superboy-Prime "orders" Alex Luthor to select Earth-Prime for the "new" Earth to be re-made in Infinite Crisis #6. You see Alex looking around and around, wondering where it is, and then going "There you are," followed by Alex's hands reaching out of the page, almost TOWARD the reader.

True. But several super-heroes did appear on Earth Prime: Superboy & ULTRA, the multi-alien. Furthermore, several Earth Prime characters got involved on other Earths in various team-ups usually between the Justice League of America of Earth-1 & the Justice Society of America of Earth-2.

Not Ultra, the Multi-Alien. He was a separate character.
Earth-Prime's first hero was Ultraa. an alien orphan raised by aboriginals in the Australian outback.

C'mon now, internet forums didn't exist back then!

heh... I remember there used to be comics where Superboy Prime would actually visit the DC office and talk to DC writers of the time.

How could that be? The entire canon of Superboy Prime appearances, to date, are DC COMICS PRESENTS # 87, CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS # 10-12, INFINITE CRISIS # 1-7, INFINITE CRISIS SECRET FILES 2006, and a cameo in BATMAN ANNUAL # 25.
Not much opportunity to visit with the Earth Prime DC Comics office.

Oh, yeah. Snap. It's 3 AM and my memory's all jingled up. It was Barry Allen who visited DC offices in Earth Prime, not Superboy.

Well, maybe it was a time-displacement, warped reality......ok. Yeah, they didn't exist. :p
