Week 13 sounds really interesting. It looks like some heroes who've been resurrected in the past are going to try to resurrect Sue. "Hey Ralph, to cheer you up we thought we'd give you a present. Say hello to your zombie wife!" :)

Robert Kirkman should have been involved with the writing of 52 if that were the case. :p

I'm not big fan of Lobo, so I'll definitely be skipping week 17. Also, it looks like Steel's niece is going to croak, (bummer) and who is that in Booster's shades- Supernova?

Also, it looks like Steel's niece is going to croak, (bummer) I didn't get that interpretation from the solicit or cover, but that might be a possibility. Or maybe she creates her own armor?
and who is that in Booster's shades- Supernova?Yep that's Supernova. I saw concept art for him in last month's Wizard.

What would have been wicked was if Sue was ressurected and became the Spectre. That would have been so...demented, and possibly interesting.

Yes, and then Sue/Spectre could fight Jean/Eclipso. maybe Mera could become the new Phantom Stranger, while we're at it.

I dunno, but I think he's holding Batman's cowl aswel, maybe he's going to try to take their place, like he did in the JL cartoon, "The Death of Superman."

That episode was called "Hereafter."

If only.

More likely it'll be a reprise of the BUFFY episode where Dawn tries to bring mom back and it's unnatural and bad and the dead need to stay dead and so on. They're not going to "cheapen" IDENTITY CRISIS while Meltzer's still around.

I was at a book fair Meltzer did around the time of Identity Crisis and he said he didn't care if anyone came in and undid Sue's death. If anyone in theDC offices knows this then I see no reason not to bring back.

And meanwhile, Fire is alive and well, Guy is alive and well, J'onn is alive and well, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, Batman, Oberon, Mr. Miracle, Metamorpho, Captain Atom...........and so on and so forth.... :p

Booster is going to die. Geee, what a surprise.

With a cover as blatant as that, and it being the cover for week 15 of a 52-weekly series, I would be surprised if he died.

I didn't even notice Lobo resting on Wonder Woman's sword or holding Batman's cowl before. What I do find odd is Steel looking like he has skin made out of, well, steel. Nipples and all.

By the way, was I the only one impressed with Howard Porter's cover for Captain Marvel? If this is his new style, I'm all for it.

Fire's a killer agent now. She's hardly the same character. Characters most identified as JLI characters have a higher rate of dying. :p

And DC's not gonna kill off Batman. He's their most popular character.

Mr. Miracle, Metamorpho and Captain Atom all have confusing stories now.

(Didn't Captain Atom get blown away in Superman/ Batman? But he was mentioned in Identity Crisis. But he was supposed to be in the Wildstorm Universe at the time. And then he returned in Superman/ Batman. But then didn't he come back in Identity Crisis?)

So yeah...

Just so you know, Giffen himself was asked about this supposed vendetta DC has against character he had a hand in defining. Not only does he see no such thing, but he's helped to create some of the current stories surrounding and involving characters he worked on in JLA.

It's a humorous observation. It's not meant to be taken too seriously.

But Sue Dibny, Max Lord, Blue Beetle have all been killed recently.

Elongated Man is a shell of his former self after Sue's death.

Fire is now a killer agent.

Captain Atom's story is confusing.

Etc.

But I'm just making a humorous observation.

so I'm pretty sure I saw this theory already someplace, from someone else, but I must shamelessly steal it now:

Supernova could be OUR Booster Gold. The Booster in the series could be ANOTHER Booster from the past.

think about it. many noticed how the Booster in 52 #1 didn't jibe with the Booster from IC. Booster started cause he was a huge fan of Superman, right? The Booster in 52 #1 didn't know Clark Kent was Superman...etc.

I like this theory. So in other words, the Booster who bites it in 52 is not our Booster. Our Booster is still on his character arc and is now Supernova.
