I think I've lost count between various conventions, appearances, and random encounters. I just met him again today.

I just thought it was odd that I met Stan Lee today, and was just like oh, it's Stan Lee. That's cool.
Granted, I was slightly flustered, having just interviewed the guy who wrote X-Men 3 without knowing I was going to, and having done no prep. But you can read the results of that on the main page tomorrow.

Do you often write main page articles?

Occasionally. I freelance some video game stories for Jonah occasionally.

WHASSUUUUUUUUP?!? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYgwQIncYow&search=whassup)
I'm good dude. Life has taken it's twists and turns and sometimes I think I've fallen into a crack in reality but everything is pretty much OK.
And for the stuff that's not ok you can expect many Superboy Prime-esque threads in the future^^ Beware! Retcon Punch! Yer ruining me!
How you been? (Sucks that I missed some B-Days...but there's always the next one.)
Apologies to StoneGold the Stan Lee-meeting-bastard for attempted thread highjack :p

Awesomeness.
Glad to see ya back.
Witness...one man standing alone...:p

Cake is delivered, bikers are gonna be there by 5 and the clown van should pull up any minute. "The Donkey" is stuck in traffic but he's telling me he'll be here ASAP and the fireworks are OK. I repeat, fireworks are OK. The cops are paid off but you MUST remind them to unload their pistols...we don't want repeats of last time :(

Piss on the parade time:
Nearly, and kinda sorta, once.
He was trying to raise money for his 100% totally crap online comix idea, and he gave away 50 stock options to every journo who showed up.
Yes.
Options.
We got to buy in at the bottom for 50 bucks on a total no-hoper.
Journalists.
Now, I love Stan for everything he gave me as a kid. Language, ideas, imagination, and the tremendous ability to lie to get what I wanted.
But still....
Stan....
Big fat fuck you.

Once.
We're talking handshake and/or conversation, right? At least a panel question directed at him?
I mean, you're not counting just being in proximity and maybe making eye contact, are you? I mean, by that standard, I've met Neil Gaiman and Kevin Smith twenty or thirty times despite never actually exchanging a word with either man.
Sorry... Just clarifying.
Loeb would recognize me. Joe Kelly would, I think. Mark Schultz would. Morrison might. Waid might. Phil Jimenez might.
About half of DC editorial might vaguely recall my face. A couple might even place my name.
I made a bigger splash looking for work with Hasbro and Disney reps when I attended San Diego than I did with Marvel or DC. Which is funny since you'd think the big toy/media companies would presumably be harder to impress.
