This is a really special book.

This issue takes two ice based villains and teams them up against the new Firestorm, who is now the amalgam of Firehawk and Jason Rusch.

First, teaming the new Killer Frost with Mr. Freeze is brilliant! The science-fiction angles of how Firestorm and Killer Frost's powers work was imaginative.

We also see a vision of Professor Stein, who has missing in the 1YL DCU. We also see a bugged eyed individual who is able to look through Professor Stein and into the Firestorm matrix. Spooky!

Great stuff. Jamal Igle and Keith Champagne are incredible. Easily in the top five art teams in the industry IMO. Stuart Moore has taken this title to new heights. Highly recommended reading.

Good read. The scenes of Gehenna with Jason's father were also a lot of fun, not to mention an especially dick-ish cameo from Batman.

LOL!!!

Jason's reaction to Batman's harsh critique was great. He wasn't scared. He was amazed that a mere mortal had the nutz to stand up to him, seeing as how he could have easily disintigrated Bruce at will.

This is the one oyl title I couldnt dare to bother with. I mean what was the point of the whole building a better firestorm story which had him combined with the doc to show now the doc is missing and he is seperated?

To show how much Jason has matured over this brief period of time.

I thopught Firestorm couldn't affect organic material, and if he does, he gets this horrendous feedback? At least that's the way it was in V. 1. His worst villian was a werewolf, becasue he couldn't realy do anything to the Werewolf to keep it away, or something.

The art on this book is incredible, I love reading it.

Hmm, I wonder if Professor Stein will be back soon as I really like the teaming with/having to be within a short distance of at all times Firehawk situation.

>> I thopught Firestorm couldn't affect organic material

Yeah, at first he could, but when they rebuilt him they took that power out.

I wasn't aware that the power to effect organic matter was removed. Jason Rusch is responsible for creating the new Killer Frost if I remember correctly.

I wasn't aware that the power to effect organic matter was removed.

Martin and Jason remove the power to transmute organic matter from Firestorm's power set in #22; however, the people in the Firestorm matrix can bring it back if it's needed.

Firestorm's energy blasts /are/ still capable of affecting living beings, though, and I think /that's/ what Jason's thinking of in regards to Batman.

Firestorm still avoids using his powers on organic matter, yes, because of the various feedback side-effects. He really wasn't speaking literally about taking Batman's head off. :)

Glad you like the book! Thanks.

Best,
Stuart

He really wasn't speaking literally about taking Batman's head off.

Yes, it was clear that Jason was merely commenting on Batman's boldness.

I hope we get to see some more connections to Firestorm's past, namely Mikhail Arkadin. Great job so far, dude. Keep up the good work!

I've got to agree with 4d ... issue 25 is a great comic book... really enjoyable!!

The artwork was brilliant.. writing is great, great to see Batman come in and take care of Freeze in not time at all.. and then to tell Jason he should sharpen up his act..great work.

I loved Jasons reply instead of taking Batmans advice on board he just says "wow that was Batman!!.. and he had me shaking.

Loved it!

Who has Stein captive.... has anyone got any ideas??
