I am not a fan of random humor, but for reasons I cannot explain, Aqua Teen Hunger Force makes me laugh my butt off every time.

And yet I hate Sea Lab, which is kinda the same humor. Go figure.

Another one for Venture Brothers. Definitely the best thing on AS right now.
Worst- I just can't stand to watch an entire episode of Tom Goes To The Mayor, which seems like it should be good, but isn't.

Regular CN?
Best- Justice League Unlimited. I'm a late convert to that one. Didn't like Superman, didn't care much for JLA, got tired of Teen Titans, so I didn't even pay attention to it at first.
Worst- There's alot I don't even bother to watch. Always hated Ed, Edd & Eddy though. Apart from the shows themselves I'm also really annoyed with their "NOW and THEN" bumps... really, what the hell? Is it an attempt to keep kids stupid by confusing their vocabulary?

The best on the show or these - Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Family Guy, Sealab 2021, and Robot Chicken. They are great.

The wost. Ed,Edd,and Eddy. I hate. Will not watch it. And Tom goes To the Mayor. That one had the word Suck on it from the word go.

Nope. Bastards. I guess the writing team ran out of 80's cartoons to spoof, so CN didn't think the show had any legs left.

Best CN: JLU
Grim and Mandy
Kids Next Door (but this last season was....meh).
Courage, The Cowardly Dog
Foster's Home for Imaginairy Friends (Mac's Sugar Rush episode and the one with Cheese are instant classics).
Juniper Lee (but Winnick is still a comics writing dud).

Worst CN: Camp Lazlo (and Joe Murray did so well with Rocko's Modern Life.
sigh).
Johnny Bravo
Robotboy
Atomic Betty (don't know if they still show it).
All anime

Best AS: Venture Bros.
Aqua Teen
Squidbillies (barely)
Stroker and Hoop
Boondocks (Return of the King. Somebody give'em a Peabody award
or something already.)
Samurai Champloo

Worst AS:Tom Goes to the Mayor
Minoriteam (no. just no.)
Bad Hair....whatever that Dragonball looking piece of crap is.

Actually, they cancelled it because it wasn't attracting the Idiot Kids Who Don't Give A Crap About Anything That Doesn't Have A Trading Card Game demographic.

Favs: PPG, Johnny Bravo, JLU, Samurai Jack, Clone Wars, Teen Titans, Dexter's Lab more often then not loved the ninja, and the speed racer eps (noticing a trend with all these not playing anymore). When it comes to AS: Venture Bros, Futurama, Harvey Birdman, Aqua Teen.

Rather burn eyes watching the sun: the three Eds, Tom Goes to Mayor and 12oz Mouse.

The only person to metion Ben 10 so far lists it as Worst? Once JLU wraps up, Ben 10 will be my only reason to ever tune in regularly. It is a great Silver Age superhero comic for kids with cool animation!

Best: Inuyasha, Masters of the Universe, Full Metal Alchemest, Justice League Unlimited, Batman and Superman TAS, early episodes of Sailormoon (from the beginning to the tree saga) Alvin and the Chipmunks, X-Men Evolution, Silverhawks, any Dexter's Lab that had either the Justice Friends or Dial M for Monkey, and any Samuri Jack that had the Scottsman.

Worst: Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Bobobobobobobobobobobobobobobo, Zatch Bell, Power Puff Girls, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, Dragonball, Two Stupid Dogs, Saved by the Bell, Cow and Chicken, and later episodes of Sailormoon (anything after the tree saga stuff).

What no love for Naruto?

In my case, it's more like hate. Naruto is everything that ever went wrong with the Shonen Jump magazine all wrapped up in one little package.

I found the characters to be very bland copies of the Dragonball characters. The fight scenes were long and drawn out. It follows the Shonen Jump formula of somebody "wanting to be the bestest (insert point here) ever!!!"

(And that is a copied SJ formula. DB had the protagonist wanting to be the best martial artist ever. Hikaru no Go had him trying to become the best Go player ever. Yugioh has him trying to be the best card player. One Piece has the best pirate ever. Etc.)

And for an "action series," Naruto is incredibly boring. I swear I had trouble staying awake whenever I actually tried to watch it.

Well atleast you have a good, yet questionable, reason for not liking the series instead of just hating the series because it's popular. Also you did actualy tried to watch it, which means more than those who hate the show but yet never even watched it to see why they hate the show.

With that I respect your opinion.

classic Dexter's Lab (made before 2000)
JLU
Mission Hill
Courage the Cowardly Dog ( IT'S DOC GERBAL'S WORLD!!)

I really don't watch anything else on CN. These certain shows are all programmed into my DVR to record whenever they come on.

Aqua Teen Hunger force is the best!!!

You know, as much as I don't like ATHF, I do admit that it's funny.

I'd probably have liked it had it not been for the fact that I got burned out on the whole "Idiot-in-charge" concept after SG:CTC and Sealab.

Super Macho Man
05-11-2006, 03:30 PM
Worst: Family Guy is, as I've said before, the worst TV show, no, the worst form of entertainment known to man.

Best: I would say that Johnny Bravo, during its first and second seasons, was a very entertaining program, as was Dexter's Laboratory. I enjoyed Dragon Ball Z when I was much younger; but now it is less interesting. I also enjoyed Justice League/Unlimited when it was in its heyday, and Ed, Edd, n Eddy is also pleasing. I also have a strong like for Aqua Teen Hunger Force. (I foresee cries of hypocrisy toward me.) And I most certainly do not forget the Boondocks.

I do not understand most of the hate for Ed, Edd, n Eddy; it is far superior to most of the shows broadcast on any channel. This is more of an outcry of the lack of quality in most shows in this day and age than an extolling of EEnE, but I do believe you get the idea.

I also cannot grasp the hatred for The Boondocks. Most of the responses I have heard from its critics consist of:

"It's too black!"

"It hurts people's feelings."

"It panders to the far left."

All of which are not highly valid, at least not in my opinion.

Are most of the shows you guys are mentioning even on anymore? All I ever see is Ed, Edd and Eddy and Billy and Mandy during the day. It could just be when I work, but I haven't seen Powerpuff Girls or Dexter in years it seems.

Considering 90% of CN is S!#$, It'll be shorter to list what I do like:

Champloo
Futurama (if it's even around anymore)
Family Guy
Stand Alone Complex (if it's around, still)

Basically, most of the "original" shows are worthless, IMO, as is most of the anime they've acquired (though, they are not unique in that respect).

I tend to ignore people who critic a show based on most of those arguments. Hating a show because it's too black sounds ike a racist comment to me.

As for the Boondocks, I can see how some people don't like it, because there were some episodes that rubbed me the wrong way but once I watched it all the way through the message was awesome.
