Sorry about the lack of a podcast last night. I'll be recording it and publishing it on Thursday night now, instead.

Here's what happened: (http://www.nj.com/news/ledger/jersey/index.ssf?/base/news-3/1147243825187060.xml&coll=1)

A van returning mentally disabled residents home from a fishing trip to the Jersey Shore careened off the Garden State Parkway and tumbled down an embankment in Clifton yesterday afternoon, ejecting seven students and staff members, authorities said.

My 45 minute drive home became a nightmare 2 hour and fifteen minute slow crawl, most of it behind a guy who liked to keep three car lengths' distance between himself and the car in front of him, while his tail pipe kept spitting out plumes of dark smoke that smelled so awful I couldn't keep my windows open.

Basically, that lost hour and a half on the Parkway is the time I have reserved to do the podcast. My next chance is Thursday night. Pray the vans stay upright on the highway for me.

It's unfortunate that the higher visibility campaign has a delayed edition so quickly. Looking forward to hearing it later tonight.

Yeah, I was 0wned by Murphy's Law this week.

On the bright side, I've found that most people listen to the podcast directly through the feeds and not through any links I publish either on this message board or in the column. Obviously, I'm hoping for new readers with the column on the front page. We'll see how that goes. Hopefully, this is a one time thing.

In other podcasting news -- my new podcasting equipment came via UPS today. I'm not sure I'll have it all worked out enough to use for the next podcast, but it should make them sound smoother in the end when I do figure it all out -- I'm shooting for the 24th on that.

Haven't really posted here before (once or twice), but love the podcast Augie. This week's edition was no exception. Those Hunter-Killer delays are brutal.

Thanks, Cursd. It's always nice to know that SOMEONE out there is listening. =)
