For example Wildcat suddenly "remembered" earth-2 supes..

Does that mean it'll be used in storylines as well..

I can't wait for the lois and clark interaction..

Lois now married to supes will kid supes as "hah now I remember you always used to convince me with superman robots that you and clark were separate people" or stuff like that.

thought..?

I'm not certain the Earth 1 heroes will remember pre-Crisis. I think it's mainly just the Earth 2 heroes remembering the original Superman, Batman, etc.

I don't think this will be used much in stories, though. I think we're seeing references to it right now (like Batman showing up in JSA) because its the cool new thing, and I'm sure they'll milk it for a while longer, but I imagine it will eventually just be a matter of being able to show flashbacks in the manner that they were originally published, instead of having to make the post-Crisis substitutions.

But I could be wrong...

Some characters obviously remembered their lives on other Earths. But characters like Batman and Superman didn't seem to. They just became aware of the four characters from before because they made themselves known. They now know that there was a Multiverse but it has gone. There is of course still Superboy Prime who has seen all the versions of the different Earths and was from before. If Lois could do interview with him, I reckon that they'd shift a few papers.

Frankly, I'd go crazy if my head was filled with memories of alternate versions of myself. It seems like it might cause someone to develop another personality or become suicidal. It's best if they just have vague memories of what occured. Now, for characters that haven't really changed much throughout history (like the JSA) it's perfectly okay. Their memories would be pretty much the same, only with a few different people added to them.

There's a difference between having the memories of several lifetimes and just being aware that you have lived several lifetimes. I'm sure the latter will be true of most characters.

Still, knowing that you've had lives before your current one would have to mess with your head. I can only imagine how Hawkman would feel.
