Thinking about picking up the Doug/Kelly trilogy Red Rain/Bloodstorm/Crimson Mist. Anyone recommend it? Worth reading?

I can tell you that I really enjoyed Red Rain. I haven't read the others, though.

Absolutely! Those are three great books.

And if you like my avatar, chances are you won't regret your purchase. :D

Red Rainwas fantastic, and Bloodstorm was a worthy followup.

Crimson Mist was stretching the concept a little too far, I felt.

I agree with Sean. I'd definitely buy Red Rain and Bloodstorm, but Crimson Mist is lacking. If its a three-pack, go for it, but if you're buying them separately, ignore the last one.

I was at my local comic shop and came across the DC Direct Crimson Mist Batman Action Figure and it looked so demonic. I picked it up immediately. Awesome figure. I had never read the books, seen them around, but never had the desire. So, I'll definately check out the first couple and see how they are.

And if you like Jones' art on the monthly Batman titles from 1995 to 1998, I think you should appreciate Crimson Mist as well... he had really hit his stride by the time that book was released in 1999.

Personally speaking, I remember not liking Red Rain at ALL, but to each his own.

Weird. I deampt last night I was in a movie or something of Red Rain / Batman vs Dracula.

I enjoyed them.

I also think the toy looks supercool.

I've read the first two books and thought they were pretty rubbish. The third book has been in my unread pile for years and will probably be there for a few more years.

That said, for Doug Moench they're quite good. I normally can't stand his work

Another thumbs up for Red Rain. I remember enjoying it but not much else. Haven't read the others.
