Even though it's not a rule that every character have a love interest but most teenage heroes with their own book usually do. When Spoiler was confirmed dead everyone was complaining about how with comic book time they would have Tim move on overnight. Yet with an entire year having passed they can successfully have Tim begin a romance and not make it feel forced. The only question is who their are four most likely scenarious to this.

Cassandra: The two of them know each other and for a time have worked together for some time. Plus with the recent focus on her in Robin's book and her own being canceled it could make a her a recurring character their. I know she is implied to have become a villain but Tim could attempt to bring her back to the side of Angels.

Wondergirl: Another possibilty assuming Superboy isn't ressurected two soon. The two of them are close friends and also have worked together for some time, plus if she rejoins the team they could be working together more often. They both lost someone close to them some time ago, plus when she sees how Conner's death affected Tim to the point of her attempting to clone him she could be the one who snaps him back into reality and that could start something.

Rose: We all know of her attraction to him in the recent Titans book, given how Robin is a teenaged boy theirs no reason he could give into her at some point and start an emotionless fling.

New Girl: Another likely possibility is the writers could create a new charcter for Tim. Of course I'm not really a fan of this scenario as most characters created to be someone elses love interest are usually not good for anything other than that. This was one of the major problems with Lois Lane for the longest time. Only in modern time has she worked her way out of that garbage and come into her own as a character.

So what do all of you think list your choice for either what you think will happen or want to happen. Also when you post your choice could you tell why, opinions are valued and appreciated.

I don't care if it's necrophelia, Steph/Spoiler. Maybe if DC didn't ($#$%ing kill her!

And.. wow... it didn't take long for the slash fans to pop up.

Actually, there was a neat view of Tim and Cassandrera/Batgirl in Damien Scott's Solo book.

Anyone but Wondergirl. Will they ever be able to look at each other and not see Conner?

Cassandra could work. It'd keep the Batgirl+Robin tradition alive at least.

Would Spoiler getting retcon punched back to life be too much to ask for?

Cassandra: I wouldn't be opposed to this one, which is to say I'd have to wait to see how the writer handles this, which will depend on how Cassie is handled herself. While far from worshipping her as a goddess, I think a relationship would be a nice way to progress the character, but since DC has taken another route it would be a long time in coming as the character has yet to establish herself after crisis.

Wondergirl: To be honest, I wouldn't trust this relationship. There's no way to keep Connor from being involved and I don't want to have to deal with all the drama that would emerge when the couple end up confronting Connor or his clone or his alternate dimensional-self or his twin sister whose body he's inhabiting, etc. The oppurtunity for 'drama' is just too high.

Rose: If all they have an emotionless fling, she wouldn't really qualify as a love interest, would she ?

New Girl: Too many variables; has the most potential for success or as a let-down depending.

Now for my pick, which is to say one character that it won't be:

Cissie King-Jones: Formerly Arrowette. As a civilian that has been involved in the "game" there are a lot of roadblocks that wouldn't have to be dealt with in establishing/maintaining a relationship (in addition to the two already knowing each other fairly well). Some people would say those roadblocks are part of the fun, but I would disagree. And I'm right.

She was there almost from the beginning and since she and Cassie were BFFs she probably kept in touch with the rest of the gang. With Bart changed and him and Cassie not seeing eye-to-eye, Cissie would be the logical choice if he needed someone to turn to. Or maybe the rest of the YJ gang like Secret or Empress. Secret was pretty much there from start to finish and she'd certainly know how to deal with grief.

They've got the plusses of Wondergirl the first poster mentioned without the giant shadow of Conner looming over the relationship.

Its going to be BIzarrosuperboy when he finally finishes cloning him in his cave.Robin a few issues from now will admit the "LOVE THAT DARE NOT BE SPOKEN" towards connor.

"I am of course joking"

I don't think a love interest for robin is something to worry about. His womanizing has never been something important to his character.Hal an DICK as of post OYL is another story thou.

Just a friendly word of advice :)

When I start a poll, I usually list all the possibilities I think anyone would take seriously in answer to the question -- and then I add one extra option at the bottom. Something like "Other" or "None of the Above," for those who are firmly committed to a specific opinion that completely slipped my mind as I was writing the Poll. In this case, I might have made it "Some other girl we already know about in the DCU."

And if that choice were on the Poll, I probably would have voted for it, although I admit I'm not certain which teenage girl I would want it to be. I haven't really given it much thought. How old is Greta, the former Secret of Young Justice? I remember she had a hopeless crush on him. I wouldn't mind seeing them go out to a movie together or something, although I don't know about becoming a regular dating couple.

Seems like a perfect time to develop Robin's relationship with Lady Shiva in a whole new direction. He did think she was hitting on him in the first mini series...;)

More seriously, I'm hoping for Cassandra, but since her status is uncertain, I'm not holding my breath.

More seriously, I'm hoping for Cassandra, but since her status is uncertain, I'm not holding my breath.

About Shiva: Was that the time when he woke up in the middle of the night and she was in the bedroom, staring at him, and saying something like, "Little Bird, it is time for you to enter a new world of experience" (or words to that effect), and he muttered, "I'm not sure I'm ready for this," and then she made it clear she figured the middle of the night was a perfect time to start teaching him ninja-style tricks?

I bought that series when it came out. I remember I took it for granted she meant specialized combat training -- until he muttered he wasn't sure he was ready for this, and then it finally dawned on me what he might be thinking, as a first impression when he woke up to find her in his bedroom. Even though I was certain he had the wrong idea :)

About Cassandra: There's a problem of ambiguity here. The second Wonder Girl's real name is Cassandra Sandsmark. The third Batgirl's real name is Cassandra Cain. When we talk about possible love interests for Robin, and someone just says "Cassandra," there are at least two different people this could refer to. I suspect you meant Cassandra Cain in this context, but there was room for doubt.

I never read those so didn't catch the Cassandra Sandsmark connection. Shows what I get for assuming...

That was quick service! I wasn't really expecting anything to change on this Poll any time soon (if at all). Just thought I might share the benefits of my experience with Orion101 for future reference, since I too have had nitpickers look at a Poll I started and then say to me, "I don't see my opinion anywhere on the ballot! Why didn't you include one or two extra options so I could vote my conscience by saying 'none of the above'?" ;)

Yep. Cassandra Sandsmark (usually called Cassie by her friends, I think) was invented as a character and later became the second Wonder Girl in John Byrne's run on "Wonder Woman" back around the late 90s. Then Peter David scooped her up for his long run on "Young Justice." Then Young Justice was cancelled and Geoff Johns took her out of the old YJ membership (along with Superboy and Robin and Impulse) for the latest "Teen Titans" series. I haven't put together a chronological checklist, but I'd estimate that since Byrne invented her, about a decade ago, she's almost always been a "regular" cast member in at least one monthly title at any given time, which is better than a lot of other superheroes in the DCU have done for themselves, come to think of it! :)

I think Rose is to Titans what Starfire was to New Teen Titans. She is the loner, the outsider, the new girl. She and the leading young man have physical tension as soon as they meet, with the possiblity of emotional intimacy developing later.

A part of me wants Cassandra Cain to be with Tim. I mean that whole issue when she was in Babs Batgirl outfit and Tim was all googly eyed on her was hilarous.

Still, I agree Rose is the outsider role that Starfire used to occupy. Just that must she sleep with a member of the bat family? And I'm kinda enjoying her friendship with Kid Devil. Guess I'll vote for Cassandra Cain.

Hey, when two guys who are old friends are traveling together, it's perfectly normal for them to compare notes on all the silly mood swings and hissy fits they've seen a mutual acquaintance (Babs Gordon, in this case) throw over the years! If she doesn't want to know what people are saying about her behind her back, she shouldn't eavesdrop on them in the first place! ;)

I think it'll be Rose. She's a bad girl and the type who can push his buttons . Batman or Nightwing wouldn't approve of her and thus far he's had her get naked and try to seduce him in Titans.

Odds are he'll fall for her charms sooner or later. Cyborg will wanna push her out and Robin won't let him. ;)
