Did anybody catch this episode? Did this storyline happen in the comic books where Lex Luthor is desperately trying to revive Brainiac but instead brings back a Darkseid/Brainiac amalgam? This was really good with all the villains going toe to toe and Lex scrapping with Gorilla Grodd.

I caught it. Good episode that kept me engaged despite any appearance by the JLU.

I think it was more based on the original Secret Society of Supervillans series when it was revealed Darkseid was the mastermind of the group.

Incidentely it's Darkseid. He just has some of Brainiacs technology from their last encounter.

Easily my favorite episode of last season. One of the best Justice League episodes in the series. So good the finale is a bit of a letdown in comparsion.
